Comment:

I took Doctor Manning for Fluid Mechanics in which I procured a 100% average. Doctor Manning knew what he was talking about if you paid attention at all you understood the material. Best Professor I have ever had.

god speed gentlemen. you set sail on the sea of no return. you shall have no understanding, you will receive no sympathy, and you will be left with many regrets. should lady luck shine her beautiful light upon thee, then you shall survive. if not, prepare the life boats. be aware, the captain will NOT go down with the ship.

Mr.Manning is a very smart man. He is not a very good teacher however. He reads direclty from the book during class. His tests are not reflective of material covered in class and he is a very harsh grader. The homework is not worth very many points, however every little bit helps. If you are interested in learning the material take someone else.

Knows his crap, but has a difficulty passing it on to students. Read pages directly out of the book during class time. He is a really nice person, but isn't helpful and doesn't teach much.

His test is not that hard. However,he is not fair in the test and quiz like he did not bring enough quiz paper to class. Some student did not received it yet. Then he went to office to got some extra. Then 5 minutes after that he said that time is over.Time for quiz is 15 minutes but he did not give extra time for the student who got the paper late

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I love this man as a person; He has got a dry sense of humor & cracks lots of jokes if you can bear to pay attention. He is friendly when you speak to him,not helpful. He is very wise, but not good at spreading the wisdom. He changes how many points your tests are out of so that calculating grades is near impossible. Easy F.

If you're a ChE, go ahead and take the class as he pretty much will hand you an A. Otherwise, steer clear! If he decides he doesn't like you for whatever reason you can expect to fail whether you know the material or not. At the start of class you'll probably think he's a good teacher, but by the end you'll regret taking the class!

Amazing Professor. His stories are funny and they give you a look into what engineering really is. Glad to have taken him and have learned a lot. I highly recommend him!!

Dr. Manning is a living legend. I took both gas plant and petroleum refinery which him and I am constantly amazed by his ungodly level of expertize. My advice to future students is to pay attention in class and you'll never regret it.
