Comment:
Jaquin is a smart individual but has zero organizational skill, and is not good at imparting knowledge in any meaningful way which causes an excessive level of stress beyond the normal stress of taking a physics class. He fails at coming to an answer while doing proofs, or any examples, and yet expects you to be able to on the final exam.

Comment:
Jaquin is pretty outgoing guy. Quality of work isn't the greatest, he doesn't seem prepared for classes. Wings most example problems, ultimately find out he's doing it wrong. Tests are very difficult, what you go over in class barely applies to it. Loses track of time and sometimes test scores lol. Takes a while to grade. Is extra credit options.

Jaquin is a great professor. He genuinely cares about his students. But don't let that make you think he will go easy. This was easily one of the hardest classes I've taken. It is a difficult topic, but Dr. Jaquin is really a good person to be teaching it

Willing to help you with any physics, internship or STEM question. He is always helpful and as long as you show him your desire to learn, he is willing to drop what he is doing if he can and help you.

He was an excellent astronomy professor. He was infectiously passionate about the subject and was continually looking to improve/challenge my understanding of it as well as encourage my curousity (I took advanced classes after). The class/material can be difficult, but he broke it down nicely. Doing the homework on time is key success in the class.

He is the worst professor. He doesn't care, his tests are ridiculous. And be prepared to take a final exam on stuff you didn't learn during the semester and it'll only be 20 questions. Good luck.

One of the kindest guys I've ever met. He's a really cool professor and genuinely loves Astronomy. He's very all over the place with his lectures, and the material is HARD (especially tests!) but he's always more than willing to help out. Listen when he tells you to practicelook at something!! He also has a cool grading system (80+ is an A!)

I spend hours on end trying trying to do his homework and studying hours on end for the test and when it got to the test it seemed like there was very little we learned on it. I had a tutor all semester when to study session he had. And I'm still very much confused what I'm learning

Very confusing. You understand something going into class, and leave confused and overwhelmed. Tests are ridiculous. Amount of information needed to do well, is more than you will need in any other class. I spend more than 15 hours a week on HW and Study, and still have trouble! I will loose my 4.0 over this class, and I'm stressed to the max.

Dr. Jaquin is by far one of the nicest professors I have ever had. I missed a lot of class because of family reasons and he never once questioned me or held it against me. I was always allowed to make up the work I missed. The class is difficult regardless of who you take it with but he will help you pass if you want to help yourself.

Jaquin is a really nice guy. During class it was confusing and tough (and I am bad at science anyway) but he was very helpful outside of class and made it easy to understand.

I didnt learn much in class, he jumped around a lot. Our class only had him for one test before we got another teacher but I found out that he took the multiple choice questions for the test right of the publishers website he told us about, and that we shold study off it. Although a lot of homework from the book.

Has to show how smart he is, jumps from topic to topic, i think he has adhd. Homework questions do not reflect what he puts on the tests. tests and quizzes are ridiculously hard. Avoid physics class with this teacher at all costs

I've had Prof. Jaquin for two lab classes and he is an awesome teacher. He is a bit picky on the lab reports but if you do your work and have a good attitude you'll get a good grade guaranteed.

Comment:
Terrible teacher. His lectures lack focus and often leave students more confused when they walk out than they were when they walked in. He is too reliant on the textbook. If I wanted to learn solely from a book I'd rather read it and not have a teacher to save me tuition costs! Tests are unreasonably difficult. Class average for 1st test was a 50.

I was in AP Science in high school, but had to take this class for my major. I almost never went, and it was easy for me, but for an intro class it was extremely difficult, and I would not recommend it unless you have prior Science background or are very studious. He is knowledgable and friendly/helpful though.
