Comment:

Took Psych 100 with Dr. Rose & it was a great online class. Yes, there are a lot of quizzes but you can retake them (you have to wait one hr to retake it). Since it's an online class, there were discussion boards to complete but incl a decent amount of videos to watch though which kept it interesting. I would recommend this professor.

Worse class to take online, grading is horrible. Publicly writes on discussions that the class average is 50% three tests into the course.

I took his Stats/behavior sciences course spring 2019. Ive never had such an experience with a teacher. It was statistically impossible for me to pass with a C- by day 07 or so. With his grading system I didnt know this for the whole semester and continued the 50+ pages of turn-in hw a week. Waste of my time. Just got an A over summer.

As long as you study thoroughly you have a very high chance of succeeding in the class. Pay attention during lectures (sometimes they're boring) and ask questions (I felt very safe asking questions)! Don't go through the motions doing homework - really engage with the material and you'll learn a lot. Exams are straightforward and easy if you study!

Took his online class pretty easy as long as you do all the online assignments and quizzes. He gives pretty good feedback. You can retake online quizzes as many times you like. He gives extra credit opportunities. Trust me You wont regret taking him.

This was my first psychology class online and I gotta say, very good course! Yes reading is mandatory but as long as you take good notes then you should be fine. Quizzes had unlimited attempts, he drops your two lowest grades but overall very interesting class. I enjoyed taking it!

I took the online class. There were weekly quizzes and discussions both graded pretty easily. Quizzes can be retaken as many times as needed and the exam questions are pulled directly from the quizzes. Do the work and you'll be fine. Professor was knowledgable and helpful.

Took Fred's online class and it wasn't bad. Totally manageable with other classes if you stay on track. Quiz every week but you can retake as many times as you want and best score is kept. Midterm and final are one attempt but questions are taken from the quizzes. No late work accepted but you would have to try and fail this class. Chill teacher.

Wish I would've read the comments for his psyc205 classes! He makes the class unnecessarily difficult. You do an assignment of about 100 problems just for 5 points. What he teaches is not really what's on the test. The test and homework are NOT alike whatsoever. I feel like he's done what he can to make his life easy but not the students.

The textbook was HEAVY READING. There is lots of vocabulary. Study for the tests. Do all of the extra credit! I feel that I studied very hard all semester and only got out with a B. I did some of the extra credit but not all. I believe that if I did all of the extra credit, I would've solidified an A.

Class is pretty easy. All the information and homework comes from the textbook, and most of it is done outside of class. Professor is very helpful if you have any questions. Tests aren't too difficult if you understand the material.

Really great class. Fred is clear and the topics you learn are totally interesting. He drops your lowest quiz and discussion board. You can take the quizzes as many times as you want and you keep your highest score. No late work is accepted, but the deadlines & assignments are generally the exact same every single week. Keep up and you'll get an A

A great professor! Took his online class and he is very well organized and gives good feedback. Lots of opportunity for extra credit, and he drops your lowest quiz and discussion board. You can take the quizzes as many times as you want and he keeps your highest score. He does NOT accept late work, period. His class is designed for you to pass!!

I took his four week online course over the summer and I'm glad I did. His class was organized and he was easily accessible via email. He posted announcements summarizing the content almost daily and provided good feedback on assignments. Quizzes can be taken as many times as you want and the tests have some of the same quiz questions.

I would take Fred again! Yes, his class is difficult, but it is Statistics on another level. Every time my stats partner or I emailed him, he would respond within an hour! He's very helpful and his reviews are on point! He likes questions during the reviews so he knows you understand and are prepared for the tests!

Hes a good Professor but you have to come to class everyday because this material is not easy. You could easily fall behind. You do your homework in class and if you have any questions hell answer them. He teaches by PowerPoints. I recommend you to read the textbook for you to understand it more. Study for exams too.

Comment:

Dr. Rose is an amazing teacher! He will answer all your questions and help you through the problems. Makes sure you do the assignments, it's and easy and helps you understand the material a lot better. Attendance does matter (personally), you will fall behind since the class moves pretty fast, especially if you don't read the book.
