Comment:

Left out complete sections of material (like hand and wrist anatomy) when ran out of time but always included on exams. When entire class performed well on patho exam on material taught by guest lecturer he got mad and tried to lower our grades. Would skip out on anatomy lab sometimes to go to baseball because we were last lab group.

Dr. Styn's class could be challenging for many, but every single assessment is fair, and he really does want everyone to succeed. Anyone who says otherwise is just complaining because they didn't do as well as they wanted to. He is a brilliant professor

Dr. Styn rushes through harder concepts and spends a long time on the easier topics...I believe to avoid questions. His tests do not always match his notes or even the textbook, but when approached he says "that is what separates the A students from B students"...knowing things that aren't in the book or notes and aren't discussed in lecture!

Hard to know what he was actually asking us on the exams. His questions didn't seem to coorespond with the notes at all. Very unclear in teaching the material. Was not helpful at all and was somewhat condescending to me.

His tests correspond perfectly with the notes. Pay attention in class, take good notes, and study the handouts and you'll do fine. Oh - think simple on his tests. Often the first half of the question has nothing to do with what he is really asking.

His lecture material was exactly what was on the exams. His exams were very fair and not difficult if you read the lecture material thoroughly. He was very helpful and cared about his students. I would definitely recommend him.
