Comment:

Math is hard to begin with so you have to know that going into the course. Professor Griffin is a very lady and does try to teach the course best she can. I recommend to go to academic skills. I don't she's the worst though. If she sees that the class is struggling, she will offer some extra credit worksheets. You have to buy a mathlab code.

Comment:

Absolutely terrible Professor. She teaches simple problems in class, but the coursework and tests are nowhere similar to what she teaches. She will take points off for the SMALLEST mistakes. It takes her 30 minutes to teach a short problem. She's extremely repetitive. Don't take this class with this Professor. Find a new one. Or you will not pass.

Comment:

You have to work. Cannot floss it. Lots of homework, and a total of 5 Unit Tests. Must print out homework from Blackboard when she posts it. Book assignments are completely OPTIONAL, but Will help you. Doesn't rush through notes unless not enough time. Helps students understand everything she writes. Answers questions flawlessly.

Is very picky about answers. Has made several mistakes on my test, so I had to bring to her office for her to fix. ." Does explain things well, but as others have said, easy examples, harder test. Will not respond to email. But if you practice harder examples yourself it is an easy 'A'

Comment:

Beyond one of the hardest professors I have ever had. She gives out the easiest examples in class and then her tests are impossible. I've been a 4.0 student and thanks to this class I was not this last semester. If you have her drop ASAP! I read reviews and thought I could manage with her but I was wrong. Switch before it's too late!!

overall her class was not that bad. She is a really nice lady, and can be understanding. The only thing that I did not like were the Mini Assignments, she collects and grades one everyday. They usually had hard problems that she never went over.

All of the problems she goes through with the class are the easiest problems. Once it comes to the mini assignments and homework, good luck. She's not well with explaining anything. If you have to have her, keep up with Math XL, study big time on tests, and I would even recommend Academic skills too.

She doesn't explain things very well in class, the problems on the homework and on the mini assignments aren't close to the difficulty of the problems on the test. I wouldn't advise anyone to take this professor.

Goes too fast, but doesn't explain what she's doing or what homework you are supposed to be doing. Quick quizzes (you get maybe 2 mins). Graphing calculator is necessary.

Absolutely the worst Professor I have ever had, she is a nice lady but can not teach. I missed a few classes due to illness and also included a doctors notes and emailed her several times to try to get into contact with her. Was not allowed to make up what I missed even with a doctors note. Even with doctors excuse she dropped me from her course.

By far the worst math teacher ever. Hardly ever gives partial credit and her tests are EXTREMELY HARD. She gives out way more homework than should be given out for one class and most of the time she posts the assignments really late the night before they are due. Take another professor.

Save your GPA. I have NEVER failed a class before until I took this class with her. The tests are tough, and she assigns too much homework in one night. It's hard to learn when you try to do 50 problems every night that may or may not be graded. Tests are tough. She does not care about students success rate.

Comment:

She is a really sweet person but she is with out a doubt the hardest teacher I have ever had. She talks herself in circles and never fully explains what she's trying to say. The only thing that saved me from failing was Math XL and her extremely low grading scale. If you aren't strong in math, do not take her!

Seems like a nice lady, but never answers emails. Also won't post grades to blackboard so figuring out your grade is always a guessing game. Randomly collects homework for points. Grades kinda hard and rarely gives partial credit even on homework. Loves to post assignments late at night and make them due the next day.

She is by far the worst math teacher I have ever had. She treats us like we are 5 and has a problem telling students their grades. Whatever you do, stay out of her class unless you don't have a problem re-taking math.

The only good thing about this class is that she gives 25 bonus points if you don't miss a class and she also changes her grading scale. Her lowest C is a 60. She didn't explain things very well and her tests were hard. She is very annoying at times. I would NOT recommend her. MathXL will save you in this class if you get good grades on them.

She is a nice lady, but she isn't the best teacher. She is very fair and wants you to pass her class. She does not grade homework, but assigns a couple of mini assignments for each chapter which she grades. Her test are pretty hard. If you show up to class she gives you bonus points at the end of the semester.
