FYS 156 with George was kind of boring. The most important thing to complete is the Question Forums before class. That is pretty much all you are graded on, and it counts as your attendance. His lectures are all over the place, but it's a class worth taking if you want an easy A.

This class jumps around way too much. Dont expect to get through all the reading material because he only focuses on a few main ideas and there is no tests or essays. You dont even need to show up to class half the time.

Sure his lectures can be a little boring sometimes, but the content of the class is interesting and his efforts towards making a good class room atmosphere is nice. The class is pretty easy if you just do the work on time.

He is literally one of the most boring teachers i have ever had. All he talks about throughout the two hours is non Sense and it seems like it has absolutely nothing to do with what your suposed to be learning in the first place. Didnt even start using one of the books required for the course until after a month in. Do Not Take This Class!!

Station is a great guy, he has great intentions with his assignments and the values he emphasizes, like respecting peers and guests. However, his organization and clarity is lacking, his assignments follow the class theme, but rarely follow the lectures, so they are confusing and seemingly out of the blue. Class is an easy pass though.

The class was easy and interesting enough, but the George is a total space cadet. Coursework opened every Wednesday and was due the next Wednesday... but he would forget weeks or wait until a few days before assignments were due before opening them. Also never responded to emails. Cool class, questionable professor.

CST is an unavoidable ULR so if you want a really easy A but little to no mental stimulation..choose Station. He was okay but was very by the book, not very fun or creative at all. He made the TA do all the work so the assignments were really, really backed up. This also responded in him NEVER responding to emails which was VERY frustrating.

Station picked out "Omnivore's Dilemma" - the book used in all FYS classes in 08/09. Not cool. The book sucked. He's an okay guy, but he's stuck teaching a ridiculously stupid class. He tries to make the best of it; it's not his fault.

Most boring class I have ever taken in my life. Station himself is not bad, but I hate how he talks, and his assignments are pointless. Don't let him try to convince you to take the class; all it is, is a glorified research paper stretched out over a semester. Avoid at all costs.
