Comment:

Dr. Nollert put together an independent class for just a few of us even though it wasn't technically being offered that semester. He was fantastic! Great lectures, explained the material clearly, and walked us through the readings and anything we had trouble with. He was available and always helpful. He is also hilarious and really made class fun.

Comment:

Dr. Nollert is the best professor of all time! I had him all throughout my college experience- all 6 years as a German major. If you really want to learn effectively, he is the man for the job. He does require you to try your best. His lectures are incredibly interesting. When you have been in his class for awhile, it starts to feel like a family!

This is for his intermediate-advanced German courses. If you plan on minoring or majoring in German, intermediate is the MOST important level. You MUST get the basics down! He teaches very well, but expects you to read the various assignments, which can be long. From intermediate onward, he'll start speaking purely in German more often! Viel Glück!

Dr. Nollert is a great professor! I have learned so much in the past year! He is very understanding and likes to see his students succeed. Very nice and helps you understand how to tackle learning a new language. He is definitely my favorite teacher I have had so far. Sehr gut!!

Great professor to take for this class. I barely tried in this class and walked out with a B. He is pretty easy enough and he is pretty much relaxed about turning stuff in. Learning another language is definitely not an easy thing to do, but he is very fluent in German and always willing to help.

Comment:

Herr Nollert is great and will provide extra One on One tutoring with you if necessary. He makes lots of jokes but has a serious side too and will call you out if you are just beyond ignorance with your comments in class. Especially when it comes to WWII facts. Not an easy class but learning a language is never easy. Overall Great Professor.

Herr Nollert is by far one of my top 3 favorite teachers that I've ever had. He makes learning German fun! He always challenges us and cracks jokes at the same time. I am so glad that he is the head of the German department so I can have him multiple times. Not only is he an awesome professor, but he is a super gnarly person too! Danke Nollert!

Dr. Nollert hat hervorragende Kenntnisse über Deutschland auch aufgrund seiner persönlichen Erfahrungen und Detailkenntnisse. Wer etwas über Old Germany damals und jetzt in der Gegenwart wissen will, muss seine Kurse besuchen. Wer diesen Text nicht versteht, erst recht. So folks come on!

For a languages class, very easy, but still hard unless you you have some freakish gift for languages. Dr. Nollert is great, makes it all make sense, very thorough, and works really hard at what he does. Thanks a lot for everything!

Very entertaining lectures and easy quizes, but tests are difficult. Overall he is an excellent professor and is the sole reason I'm attending UCO in the fall. German is a difficult subject, but Dr. Nollert makes it very enjoyable!
