Tests were too much of the grade. Homework was worth no points at all and was very long. Tests were very weird and not a good way to show what we knew. Had a presentation and paper. Seemed to favor students just a little if she already knew you. Nice person and did fine when she lectured. Could have been a cool class but it turned out not to be.

My favorite teacher at the University of Kansas! Super nice and helpful, is honest and will answer any questions you have, very approachable, straightforward, you know what to expect. I have taken many classes from her and loved them all.

This professor gets in front of the class and rarely makes fluid point. Not relevant with literature nor modern technology. Save yourself the heartache and take from another professor.

Super nice lady! I don't know why everyone is complaining about difficulty. Class is not difficult, easy math, and easy subject material. In class exercises gave me a B because I didn't go to class (literally ever). GO TO CLASS

Not a hard class, IF you did the prep work. Great prof but she wouldn't do your thinking for you.

One of the nicest teachers anyone will probably ever have. Notes are clear enough that you will only need the book if you are inclined to do the homework (which is for extra credit)

great teacher.. a lifesaver for biostatistics which i probably would have failed with any other teacher (got an A- with her) she lectures while writing notes on an overhead so she doesn't go too fast, and if you copy what she writes your notes are complete. she made a hard and boring subject tolerable; for that i'd take her again anytime

i found this class often times confusing. but in order to do well in the class you have to go to class and take notes (this will help with homework) and study old exams that she post (these problems will be similar to the ones on the exam). took this class spring 08 and got a B.

She tries to make a boring subject interesting. Cute lady, just boring material. Tests were open note, open book, but you have to be prepared to do well. If you do the homework, you will do fine on the tests.

Dr. Alexander did a very good job of explaining the material in a difficult math-based class. The fact that she allowed a notecard on the test was very helpful. Writing everything down on the notecard guaranteed was all I needed to do to study.

Dr. Alexander is very knowledgeable. I found the material hard, but she allows open notes/books on tests. The tests are too long to be able to look up every answer, but if you are prepared, then they arent a problem.
