Comment:

He comes off as a total jerk for the first couple of weeks, but he turns around once he gets to know you. His teaching skills are excellent. My writing skills greatly improved because of him. Lots of back to back assignments. Sometimes 2 or even 3 due the same day. He is a very critical grader, but its a great learning opportunity..

So i went to every class and participated and got a C... he grades really hard during the start of the semester and then lets you get a B- at the end to act like its improvement. This shouldnt be a hard class at all, I suggest looking for a different professor. Absolutely no use of phones is allowed.

This class is hard and he will keep you busy but you can do alright. He is a very tough grader and will find errors in your paper that the writing centers will not. Almost every class we had a presentation in front of the class. The final is pass/fail. Most people got Cs or Bs. Not a class you can skip ever. No textbook.

. He's one of those teachers you'll like one day & hate the next! He will absolutely make your writing 10X better. The class is intense , assignments and presentations are back to back, no breaks! Be ready to work, same for all ba classes : (... Andrew is okay i guess, but he is stickler with rules

Tough grader but definitely worth it! He has an excellent teaching method involving a greater amount of student participation than just him talking. If you are serious about your studies and want more of a hands-on experience for Business Communications, take him!

Great professor. He's genuinely interested in the subject matter. Engages the class in interesting discussions. His lectures aren't boring but very relevant to the material. His pop quizzes are a breeze if you actually read the books. Majority of your grade depends on your final paper. Don't procrastinate on it or your course grade may be bad

the guy gives you a hard time about papers. everything needs to be super concise, yet still meet his requirements. had to try REAL hard for a B-, (had my papers reviewed at writing center about 1-2 times each paper). Still only walked away with a B-. Quizes and everything else was fine, just expected too much as far as papers are concerned.

The only teacher ever to know how, when, and why to administer a pop quiz. They weren't used to punish students and the questions were not designed to make students do poorly. He simply wanted you to do the readings, that's all. A really nice guy and a good educator. He should be your professor for English W116.

I had Jay last semester and this one. I LOVE HIM. He is incredibly adorable, and hot :P One of the smartest teachers I've had in the english department here. He really knows his subject. He is very kind, helpful, and willing to work with students.
