A very nice lady but the class gets repetitive as she repeats the same points class after class. very accommodating with projects and papers though.

Joanne is not a teacher. Her classes are very unorganized and not interesting. On papers and tests, she often will grade you lower if she does not agree with your point of view. I came into this class thinking that it was going to be fun based on the course description and was utterly disappointed due to Devine's teaching.

Very poor at leading discussions in all of her classes (Lang & Gender, Media & Comm, etc.). Assigns moderate-heavy amt of reading and never discusses it, then bombards you with nitpicky questions on exams. Reads her lectures OFF OF A PIECE OF PAPER. Don't take her, she's a yawn!

Shes nice, but that's it. She's awful at leading discussion, her grading system is terrible, and she just doesn't let you know what's expected. You can tell she doesn't even read the assignments she hands out, as they're unclear and even factually incorrect. My grade is suffering in her class, not because I don't try hard, but because she doesn't.

She's alright. The material is fascinating, but she doesn't really do much with. Not very good at leading class discussion. Kind of boring, kind of distracted, but nice and very helpful if you reach out to her.

I think she is a good teacher, easy to meet with and talk to and always willing to work with you. she leads discussions well and asks interesting questions. There isn't too much reading, if you keep up with it, its really not bad. The papers are tough, but she lets you keep working on it if you need

Devine is a quite boring, monotonous teacher, I think. She often treats us like were in highschool and often doesn't seem to know what she's talking about. NIce enough though, and pretty easy
