Professor Pats is one of the great professor at ESU. The in class quizes are so easy and the homework is online. He gives out extra credit worth a lot of points. He explains all the stuff pretty well. I would definitely take another class with him. Whenever I had any problem with the course he was always there to help.

Econ class was online. Course is self paced. 4 or 5 exams. Homework for each chapter. Homework is due the day of the exams. So you can do your homework whenever you want, just submit by 11:59 on test day. When you asked questions through the online software, he answered. you can also submit questions to class for help through d2l.

Professor Pats is seriously one of the most caring professors you will ever have. Yes, if you take upper level economics courses, they are going to be tough, but he is MORE than willing to help you succeed. He is an extremely intelligent man and I look forward to every lecture I have with him. Don't waste your $ and skip class and you'll be fine

Professor Pats is a great instructor, and is very helpful to his students. Yes, intermediate and upper-level economics courses are challenging. You will have to earn your grades, but he offers extra-credit, and is always happy to see his students during office hours. If you are serious about your education, you will learn much as his student.

I can see if someone would find this class hard if they took it on campus rather than online. Easy assignments to do, but stressful workload. Very time consuming, however a class worth taking. If you plan out the amount of time you spend on each chapter you can do just fine. I highly recommend the class.

His test are pretty easy if you take him online. the only annoying part of the whole class is doing the mandatory online review questions and problems. The finical problems are really easy but the review questions take forever to complete. You have about 3 weeks to complete 4 chapters worth of material. His test are really long though.

$150 for a book. 75 questions per a chapter GRADED. 4hrs minimum/week of studying. No help in class. Oh and he likes to remind before every exam that his class average usually is 65-70%. Consider yourself warned for a semester of irritated studying and book-smacking-head questions of Why? Why? Why? This gen. ed totally not worth it.

A Gen Ed class worth taking. Personal Finance should be required for everyone. Useful stuff that will help you in the future. He is not hard to understand and it's an easier Econ Gen Ed credit than Micro/Macro. All the homework is due at the end of semester, but if you do it weekly you will ace the tests and be better off!

Very nice guy. Difficult to understand sometimes. If you don't miss classes and are capable of studying all vocabulary FROM THE BOOK you'll do fine. He has a great grading system (50% or higher is passing) Overall, I'd recommend him!

Professor Pats is a nice man except he is very hard to understand & does the material very fast, usually 1 chapter per class. A lot of homework. Curved grading system. Must ask questions to understand material. I recommend if you are a self motivated student.

He is a terrible teacher. i thought the class would be harder than it was, but i had taken stats before. he talks too fast when explaining material and dosent talk any slower when answering Qs. good thing about the class was that test problems were right from the book and he curved a test gave me a headache from listening to his accent.

Professor Pats was more interested in going for coffee than he is in teaching this class. He is HARD to understand and he gets frustrated if you ask him something that he's already said. HINT: If you're female, you're guaranteed not to get an A, males get a much better grades from him.

He is a good teacher but hard to understand. Don't bother paying attention in class, just show up and read the book. Tests are hard but as long as you skip less that 3 classes and do the homework and extra credit at the end of the year your guarenteed a B!

I would not recommend him for Pers. Fin. I understand that he doesn't like teaching it and it shows. He really doesn't teach, just uses the Powerpoint presentation provided by the book's publisher. You wouldn't need to go to class if he didn't penalize you for missing class.
