Comment:

Profesora Flanders is a great woman and a great teacher. I had previously taken spanish throughout high school so I did not struggle in this class at all, but I know some of my classmates who had not previously taken spanish were struggling a little bit. This is a hybrid class so there is a LOT of online homework, but it is not that difficult.

This professor refuses to teach. Join her class and be prepared to drop in seconds. Quizzes on quizzes on top of more quizzes!! and guess what? She will never tell you whats on them, and you can be sure its nothing shes taught because she doesnt do that. Oh and you pay for your homework! Good luck :)

I took a summer course and honestly she was amazing. Never thought I would learn so much Spanish in 8 weeks. She is a fair professor, she makes you work for your grade and expects you to participate. Do what you are told and you will not have any problems but if you aren't getting it, she will help and suggest tutors. Great teachers, well loved!

This class involves lots of online homework assignments, but if you take the time to do them and keep up with them its not hard to do well. She speaks spanish frequently during class, but will repeat herself and use different words to help you understand. She is very helpful and wants her students to do well.

Grades assignments unfairly, very rude if you struggle with the class and if she doesn't like you, good luck getting an A or B in the class. Tons of homework, stupid assignments, busy work, online assignments.

At the beginning of the semester she was a little confusing with the homework but after a while you sort of get the hang of it. Make sure to do the homework because that counts as 2 credits in the 5 credit class. I don't recommend asking her to explain words because she will explain the Spanish word using other Spanish words.

Although I received a good grade in her class, I didn't like the class at all. You lose a lot of participation points for missing one class, and you also can't leave the class to go anywhere without getting points taken off. All in all it was an easy class however.

She is an amazing teacher and if you pay attention and actually do the assignments online and try, you will definitely pass the class. She can be blunt some times, but she means well by it and is very helpful and gives great feedback!

Shes a good teacher and will take the time to make sure everyone understands the material. Actually cares about her students and tells you exactly what you need to do to pass. Atendance is a must since you lose points, but overall if you just pay attention and do the homework (theres a lot online), youll find it very easy to pass. Highly recommend.

I am horrible at Spanish so I knew no matter the teacher I was going to struggle. I had to work my butt off and only missed one class, but thank God and Professor Flanders I got a passing grade. Without Professor Flanders I would not have passed the class. I just wish she would teach Spanish 130!

I loved Professor Flanders, she's tough and doesn't waste any time but is literally the best spanish professor I've ever had. Also, go to class its mandatory and you get points off on your participation grade if you miss! Good Luck!

Nice lady but hard teacher. She gives out TONS of homework which is 10x more then any other teacher gives, which consist of online homework which is due before every test, and book home which is due EVERY class. Her test aren't impossible to pass but they are very hard. you must be a great student with some knowlege of spanish to pass this class.

Literally one of my favorite professors to date. She gets the info across but also makes class fun. You switch partners often so don't worry if you get stuck with a bad one at some point. There's homework every single night but it helps a lot. Make sure you pay attention. She speaks quickly. The class is pretty easy as long as you do the work.

Class is easy enough but challenging enough to learn spanish for further classes. She moves VERY fast! and tests fairly quickly. She's witty and it's a class I am going to miss. Web-Sam sucks! But it helps. Her tests are easy, Ive made an A on every one. Hw everynight but it only helps your grade. She a GREAT teacher, on of the best ive had.

Comment:

Professor Flanders is an awesome teacher. She really enjoys her work and cares about her students. If you do the work she assigns and attend class, you can make an A! She makes it very interesting. She gives you study guides for your tests, which are a huge help. You couldn't ask for a better teacher, even if you have NEVER taken a Foreign Lang.
