The worst professor I have ever had. Stayed focused on small readings and made you waste money on a bunch of books you didnt even need. Spent hours a week doing his homework and never got anything out of it except having him embarrass me because I didnt agree with him. Ontop of all this I didnt learn one thing in his class except he was a jerk

I spent hours doing his reading and trying to find what he wanted in the articles he assigned. He went out of his look bad infront of the class and if you didnt agree with him he would take it out on your grade. I spent hours trying to learn the subject he wouldnt help me when I asked and I can honestly say I didnt learn one thing in his class

He would call on everyone at least twice and grades were based on papers, but you never really knew what direction the class was heading. But he was a committed professor that genuinely seemed to care about what students had to say and was very helpful and freindly if you saw him during office hours

state politics was all essay, so if that's your strength then it's a plus. Expect to be called on in class at least once no matter how big it is. The class was OK, but he said the final would be easy but ended up assigning a 9 pg paper instead

Awesome teacher, if you are prepared for class and respond to his lectures you'll learn alot. I recommend Politics of Free Speech and Religion. We're lucky to have a great professor like him.

Comment:

One of the best professors I've had. Great professor and great classes. May be rough if you're not a Poli Sci major though. Lots of discussion so you gotta know your stuff and be prepared but it's worth the effort. I would recommend all his classes.
