Dr. Perry is a good teacher, he is smart and he is very knowledgeable in what he does. Though, I do think sometimes his sarcasm goes beyond than a joke and makes people feel uncomfortable with his comments.

Comment:

Dr. Perry is a great professor. Prior to taking his speech class I felt I had great speaking skills, after taking his class I can say I've learned so much more about speaking in a fun and engaging way. Some people dislike him, but I've found when people say they don't him it's typically because they lack creativity.

Dr. Perry is a strange, strange man, but in a good way. I've learned so much in his class and he is funny! Smart, witty, scholarly, and well-known. Take him if you want to become a better writer, speaker, or anything in academics! He's written like a few novels and written in some magazines. From NY, I believe.

He is a great professor! Does talk a lot, but very and witty. Repetitive. Giving the speeches wasn't hard but he was strict on grading them. Had a good time in the class. Didn't use the textbook once but yet had a 200 question final over it.

honestly. he just goes on and on...if you have a hankering for a satisfying class experience,i don't recommend him. he talks more than anything--about nonsense. he went on about a book, but we haven't used it once, he's nearly always incoherent,and his lectures are the most spacey i've ever heard come from a grown man's mouth!

I have literally taken every single one of Dr.Perry's courses. I absolutely love the man! He is very high energy, hilarious, and I guarantee he will polish you into a great speaker! His classes aren't the easiest, but you learn so much from him! Highly recommend...especially comm arts people!

he is super weird will scare you. he is a little crazy but a good teacher. he assigns people certain tasks, a secretary who has to take notes each class of everything he says, and will not get any extra credit for doing this. that sucks! but if you need to take technical writting there is no other professor. so good luck

OMG, what can I say about Dr. Perry. Simply..He rocks!! He is painfully hard, but by the time you're out of his class you're so glad you were in his class. I love the way he teaches. Our class loved him so much, we became good friends with him and take him out to drink wine (his favorite) every time we get a chance.

Dr. Perry is one of the most interesting people I've ever come across. He's extremely enthusiastic, will always catch you off guard, and not one of his classes are boring. Although he can pretty strict in grading he is clear on what you need to do. The final is killer but if you went to all of the classes then you should be fine.

Perry rules!! He is one of the smartest peeps I know. My writing has improved dramatically (considering I have taken 4 of his classes). He does grade hard, but explains the assignments throughouly in advance. VERY funny, witty, and intelligent guy!!

He was never really helpful when I met with him because he has a tendency to go off topic-which would be okay if he didnt MAKE you met with him for projects. It seemed like a waste of time. He is funny I admit but his over-the-top personality got on my nerves after a while.

Like all other posts, I do comment that he is quite odd, but he does grab your attention. His is the only class that I genuinely am excited to go to. Just be prepared that if you mess up once, you're basically screwd for the rest of the year, bc he will constantly bring it up. Overall, I really enjoy his class though.
