Had good impressions of him at first but after attending his class for about a week I was dosing off more often due to his monotone voice. I ended up reading the material on my own since he was no help.

He seems to know his stats, but he isn't very good at explaining them to beginners. I imagine he'd be very good teaching social psyc, just because he's enthusiastic and cares about how students are doing. He can come across as sarcastic sometimes, but he's really just trying to be 'chummy' (so don't take it personally).

I have no idea why so many people like him.He could be knowlegable, but when he made mistakes,he said"it's impossible to be wrong,it's the way we do." He didn't even check again. Also,he ignores students. My friend and I tried to ask him some questions, he could immediately turn to others while we were asking. Then, he just left.Ridiculous pro.

He is a very good social psych prof, and I think most people missed his jokes in stats. Excellent all around.

Excellent Excellent class, I'm a computer science major and I can't stop talking about social psych. It has also helped me handle life a little better, and look at situations and people with a better understanding

Great prof! One of the best I've had so far. Is excellent with Social Psyc which is an interesting course all on its own. Yes, you have to read the text, but it is fun reading. (at least i think it is) the Social Animal text is more story than text.

Dr. Ellard is a great prof. Stats was a bit dry but hey, what can you do to make that material interesting. Dr. Ellard is a nice guy and his psyc 345 class rocks.

Uses very appropriate examples to illustrate his points. Just like any class, his tests require that you actually crack a textbook once in a while to understand the concepts, but are fair.

okay granted his written tests are brutal and yes he can be just a little bit of a bore... but Stats itself is some dry dry stuff... and I can see he's trying to make things better... so props to him... pay attention and you'll be okay, it can be done!

The reason I switched my major. He rambles on and on without ever making a point, and complicates simple concepts. He is somewhat overweight and gets winded while constantly walking around the stage. Tests are extremely unfair
