He means well as a person but I was unsure of a lot of what he wanted us to know. He does not write on the board or use power points so taking notes was difficult at times.

Like everyone else said, he does mean well but he just lectures about whatever. It's hardly from the book, it's usually "supplemental." I feel that he just wants to see people argue in class. He will disagree with you no matter what even if he said the same thing the class before. He just gets confused. Just go with the flow and you will pass.

Like someone else said, Moody really does mean well. The more classes you have with him the easier it gets because he gets to know you as a student and you know what he wants as a professor. Reach out to him and talk in his class and you will do better!

I have had him for three years and he is a horrible teacher. He never answers emails, doesn't speak clearly, grades unfairly and contradicts himself all the time. His classes should be easy but getting a good grade is like pulling teeth.

Moody is a nice person, he really does mean well. He attempts to get the class talking, but never really states what is true or not and what you will need for the exams. He constantly stated "This is in your chapter," although when you went back to the book, it isn't there. Frustrating to deal with, and if you miss class you miss a lot.

Overall, not a bad class. He definitely knows what he is talking about. However, he is incredibly hard to contact outside of class. He also shows a lot of favoritism and his grading is questionable.

Requires a complete understanding so he uses a lot of discussion. Challenges you to think and helps you figure out your stand on the subject. Need to take more than one class with him to appreciate otherwise avoid taking it if just one

This class was so hard. I'm not lazy, I do my homework, and I read book too... But I still struggled the ENTIRE semester. His lectures aren't bad, but nothing besides the topic of the lectures relates at all to what you're tested on. Read the book if u wanna do well. I seriously went to every single class because i feared I would miss info. avoid!

Lectures are pretty interesting, he asks for a lot of student input and opinions. I thought the test would be something like this, more of applying a concept to form an opinion, like we did in class. I was dead wrong. Lectures have nothing to do with test material, just test topic. Awful. Avoid if possible, unless you REALLY want to do social work.

Grades are subjective and he uses favoritism. He gets confused over what he teaches, and he repeats the same thing for an hour straight. If you have a question, he usually is unable to answer it. I would never take him if it was not required. If you want an A, read the text. However, most of the stuff on the test is made up, not from the book.

Moody,he's a good guy. make u think, i'll give him that, but he is extremely unorganized, gets confused my his on requirements, his grades vary when people have the same answers. Good guy, class not that hard but buy the book!or u'll be as lost as he is. Class may frustrate you, b/c its unorganized

John is a nice guy who is quick to assist and help if he can - not always by telling you the answers but by making you think. Classes were discussion based which I loved. However, the classes aren't reviews of the textbook chapters so you have to read it yourself to do well on the book-based tests.

The class was pretty interesting, and he is a pretty cool guy, but he was often a little unorganized. The tests were easy if you studied, but hard enough that if you didnt study you had clueless. A pretty flexible class with really interesting discussions-(most of the classes are discussion)

At times it will seem as if he doesn't know what's going on. His lesson plans are directyly from the book (that you might not need to read if you take good notes). Many classes are spent straight chillin and talking. Not hard but demands some effort.

sometimes he doesnt know the answer to a question so he just doesnt know what to do. ALso sometimes I leave a lecture and i am like what did he just talk about for a 1/2 hour but always tells you almost everything that is gonna be on the test
