Dr. Murphy is one of my favorite professors ever. He was extremely difficult but the greatest man and professor. I didn't realize how great of a person and professor he was till after I left. If anyone has a choice take his class.

Some think his personality is weird, I find his lame jokes hilarious. He lectures for stupid people in stats, too bad I'm not stupid. He is extremely helpful if you ask for it outside of class. I had a question and he nailed it for me in 30 seconds.

Comment:

Extremely difficult to follow in lecture. Seems to follow the book verbatim but adds commentary, which I found confusing. He writes on the chalkboard and positions himself so that it is difficult to see unless you sit on the extreme left hand side of the room. I found his personality abrasive. Read the book before class, do homework, hope for best.

Good instructor. Has little tolerance for laziness and sloppy thinking. If you don't want to work, don't take his class. I was worked hard for my C, but found in grad school I knew oodles more math than others who had math degrees with straight A's.

He is hands down the worst teacher I have EVER come across. He barely understands the math he teaches, and tries to cover it up with arrogance.

This teacher needs to find a new profession. He suffers tremendously with personal issues. He would cope better with a mental institution than he dones in a college classroom. This man needs help or needs to retire. Get him outta here!!

This instructor is a total jerk. Very self absorbed. If you are an expert in math already, you might be fine. If you need help you are doomed. I also this his emotional stability is in question. WHY this college keeps him on is a mystery to me.
