Great guy, always has some funny life advice to give his students. Extremely passionate about teaching others and is willing to meet and help whenever you need. Attempts to engage everyone in class and align everyone's attentiveness but half of his students don't even pay attention to the poor guy.

I dont know what people are talking about, Cheng is the man and his english is just fine. He is probably the nicest professor you'll ever have and is ALWAYS willing to help. if he doesnt answer a question you ask then try asking another way. Finance is not an easy course by any means but he makes it bearalbe. not to mention Chinese firdays rock!

his material is clearly presented in powerpoint format and is more than willing to help...one of the nicest guys and wants you to learn the material...some of the questions on tests are picky but you can find basically all the questions within your notes....i recommend taking classes with him

If you want an easy grade, he is the right person. If you want to be a good Investment banker, take Alka. One class with her is like a semester with Cheng. Not kidding at all. Otherwise, he is a great and very smart person and explain the very basic concepts very well.

Horrible teacher... attempts to be helpful but doesn't answer questions directly nor clearly (answers something else... never quite understands what you're asking), can't speak American English very well (to the extent where it makes it difficult to understand his lectures), and seems unknowledgable in many areas, especially pertaining to the stock market and everything relating to such! Would avoid any future classes with this professor. A disappointment to IC.

Very hard to understand... does not make concepts clear (when a student asks a question he never directly answers their question, he will rephrase what he just said even though the student is asking something similar but different). Would not jump at taking a second class from him!!!
