He's the Gordon Ramsay of English professors, minus the derogatory insults. His feedback is honest, clear, and direct. But understand that it's not personal, he really wants his students to succeed. He's willing to go above and beyond to help you out. CMP 315 is not easy and if you can't make through this class, you will not make it as a PT or PA

Absolutely the best class I've taken in undergrad to date. He is really scary and intimidating at first, but honestly the best professor I ever had. If you put the work in and see him outside of class or email him, then he'll reward you when papers are due. I learned so much in this class, and highly recommend.

This is THE BEST class that I took in college. As a result of this class, I am better able to express myself, and this led me to developed a well-respected business. This class helped me to excel in the real world and should be a requirement for every high school student, let alone every college student!

I took a class at Houghton College with Dr. Terryberry. On the first day of class he scared the hell out of me. After finishing his class I have nothing but praise for him and what he taught me. He not only taught me to be a better writer but a better person for toughing through something that seemed like it was going to be impossible when I starte

This class is not that bad if you actually put the work in and see him during office hours. He has a bad reputation, but he's actually a great professor, and a really nice guy. There's no short-cuts in this class, so suck it up, and give him 3 months of your life. Also, get a coach from the beginning!

Currently in research methodology. Worst teacher ever. Stands on a pedestal and needs to be worshiped. Clearly has narcissistic personality disorder. He now teaches in Daemen College's physician assistant program. In my opinion, do not attend Daemen if you desire to become a Physician Assistant. Many other quality schools in the area available.

Such a good teacher! Learned so much! Everyone complains that he's hard, but as long as you do what he tells you, you will not have a problem at all. Most useful class of undergrad!

I took CMP315 because I needed this class to graduate, otherwise I would have avoided it. Dr. Terryberry enjoyed hearing himself speak. Even when you do improve in the class he does not see it unless you write as well as he does. And I am an undergrad. and my major is not english but this stupid class was mandatory. Avoid if possible!
