Dr. Martin is very kind and responds to emails. She provides many videos and other resources to help you understand certain concepts. You are required to write many essays, but you can always email her if youre confused about the rubric. Also, she is not a tough grader at all; as long as you write the essay to meet the criteria and word count.

Nothing was graded until the day before, no feedback given on a single essay. I mean NOTHING was graded, not even our class introductions from syllabus week until the day before. I feel super lucky I passed after reading the other students horror stories. Emailed and messaged numerous time throughout the semester, every single was ignored.

She didn't grade anything until the day before grades were due. I don't even really think she read the papers. Her quizzes are truly awful and i feel like the questions weren't even answered on the information she gave us. Usually papers were easy, but also extremely unclear. She often used "pretend to write a 7 page essay" like what??

Same exact thing as below happened to me with grading. Literally every essay was graded the day after the semester ended and then final grade reported was a "Z". Now it shows I won't receive credit??? The actual assignments weren't ridiculous but expecting continuous essays every few days with ZERO feedback isn't fair.

Hey guys so I had the same problem, I had taken her online class, she eventually gave me the grades even though it is the last week. No all of a sudden I find I have a "Z" in the grade book. I had an A+ in the class after she had graded everything and Now I see that I have no grade? Is anybody else having this problem?

The class ends in one day, and she has not graded one essay which is RIDICULOUS! DO NOT take her online class! Her assignments are often confusing, and she does not respond to emails. How are you supposed to improve your next essays and your writing if she does not grade or give you feedback on any of your essays. Someone needs to contact the dean.

It is four days away from the end of the semester and she hasn't graded things from the beginning of the semester. She doesn't reply to emails or Canvas messages. At this point someone needs to contact the dean about her. Don't waste your money on this class if she is your professor.

The semester ends in 4 days and I have no idea what my final grade will be. SHE IS WAY BEHIND ON GRADING (meaning no feedback either). She provided great info in the online modules so it seemed like it was going to be a good class, but I feel like I didn't learn what I should have in this course. Maybe instructor led is better for this professor..

This is completely ridiculous. I am taking one of her online classes, which I will not specify. Has given me 2 grades this whole semester... and she has the nerve to criticize my writing after giving me no feedback whatsoever. Essay instructions are not clear. Wish I would have came here before taking her. DON'T TAKE HER CLASS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Awful professor. Here it is the 28th of November, 10 new assignments that consists of 20 pages worth of essays are just now posted and due when past essays/assignments havent even been graded. Has very unclear instructions and does not respond to emails, spews out essays, impossible to work ahead and impossible to take with full time job.

I have sent her about 4-6 messages throughout the entire course with various questions. Not a single message was answered. This made things very difficult when her instructions were unclear. Almost done with the semester, not a single thing has been graded. Class feels unorganized and random.

This class required a ridiculous amount of work for what it is. Assignments that she makes seem like no big deal actually end up being 6 pages a week. By the end of a 9 week class, I still had assignments that were ungraded from the 3rd week of class. I dreaded sitting down to work on her very length assignments. This is not an easy blow off class.

Do not take her you will regret it!! A "mini assignment" is 4 to 6 pages and you have a 12 page single spaced essay to tell you the least. She take super long to grade and grades very tough. She might have a good grade on here but don't trust it!!

She is slow to grade. I took her online express class and don't regret it. You have to put the work in but its fairly reasonable. Requires you to purchase "TopHat" so don't buy the book. Would take her again. Take advantage of the extra credit.

Does not grade in timely manor. Provides readings that are abridged versions & have quotes from the full length so unable to make connections. Also, need a basic background in history in order to understand what is going on in the class. Take a different professor if possible

(Eng 1301) By far the best online experience I have had. Prof. Martin is absolutely wonderful! As with any online course, pay close attention to due dates. Her assignments are not too tough, and are actually pretty enjoyable. I am looking forward to taking her American Lit class this upcoming fall. Trust me, you will not regret taking this class!

shes super tough grader. She graded assignments and essays really slow. You always have to wait until the last due day to get your feedback to do revision. Her lectures really confusing. And a lot of assignments and projects need to do but at the end of semester, just received around 30% of your assignments grade.

I found Professor Martin's class challenging. She grades hard, but fair. I started off rough, but with her guidance, I managed to bring up my grade and maintain it throughout the rest of the course. She's very responsive when there are issues needing to be addressed with any of the coursework. Overall, I was very pleased.

Professor Martin is overall a good professor but she doesn't respond well to emails and is pretty stubborn regarding issues. She grades really hard on essays, which kind of matter the most. Pick another professor i'm sure there's a better one. She was also out for part of the semester and couldn't grade an ONLINE class.
