If you fail one of his classes, it's because you don't care. Not only does Kent care about his classes, he's super funny and laid back. Yeah there's readings and papers due, but I didn't read everything and I passed with an A. He will encourage and push you to try new things. I take him every time I can. And his personal work is the best hahaha

Kent is great. He's passionate about his work and his students. He is there for you, and wants you to do your best work. You put in what you get out of it, that's for sure. A fun field trip to Pasadena, too! Take whatever advice Kent gives you, it will help your photography immensely. Trust me.

Kent is da bomb! One of the coolest professors Ive had here. He challenged me to improve my photography and had a high standard for work but was willing to help with ideas and honest about our work. Overall a fantastic class!

Best art professor I've had at APU. Really cares about his students, surprised me with how truly interested in everybody's lives and work and future he was. Honest critiquer, short and to the point when lecturing, greatest laugh ever. Expensive and time-consuming class, not really easy either but you'll get what you put into it.

I took him for many photo classes. I didn't mesh well with him, because I felt he wanted my work to be more like his, = vague and confusing. He doesn't like anything straightforward in artwork it seems. He wants it to stand out as being really different and random. He's nice, and doesn't seem to grade too hard. Just hard to 4 me 2 get.

I learned a lot and he did appreciate what I did, but he never really liked it because it waasn't exactly what HE would have done! I am more of a traditional photographer and he liked abstract so he never thought my stuff was great because it wasn't HIS...BIG EGO!

Sweet class, I learned so much. Great prof, challenging and personal. Really cares about his students. By far my fav. professor at APU. None of this nonsense about him being unapproachable, maybe his talent is intimidating, but not his personality. Will take him again in the future. :D

Luckily, I have a passion for photography, or else I think I would have struggled in this class. He is incredibly gifted, but also a little intimidating. He doesn't convey his opinion of his student's work very clearly.

I learned a ton but it's funny because he's so outgoing and friendly yet everyone i've talked to about it agrees that they're afraid to ask questions or ask for help or anything. I don't know what it is about him. Good class though, tough but good.
