Comment:

This professor stood in front of the classroom and lectured. Nobody would provide any feedback or engage in the class. She'd talk to herself. Homework is weekly and will take hours, but only is a fraction of your grade. She pulls the multiple choice questions from anywhere she finds, which makes them kinda hard. Expect to teach yourself to get by.

Comment:

She might as well teach in a different language cause the majority of the class doesn't know what she's teaching nor talking about. Of the small fraction of the class that actually does well, I'd say about half of them cheat since she doesn't walk around during tests. She should of retired years ago.

Easily the worst teacher I've had as an accounting student. Not clear on assignment due date or even on her own answers to problems addressed in class. Avoid her.

If you don't have a clear understanding of accounting up to this point it will be difficult. She is a FAST PACED teacher and expects you to know basic accounting(everything up to intermediate 2). She teaches well if you pay attention to details. Don't be afraid to ask questions. In my opinion I wouldn't have passed without reading book.

Comment:

Don't confuse a hard professor with a bad one. Worked my butt off and got a C+. I learned more than classes where I got an A. She was always available for help when I needed it. She gives packets out for every chapter that are really helpful. Do the HW, study, pay attention and ask for help.

She isn't as bad as people make her out to be. The tests are def hard but she curves. She goes over everything extremely fast and will call you out for not knowing your stuff. She expects a lot from her students but if you put in the effort and study you should do okay.

This professor was generally very nice but she was one of the hardest and worst professors I have ever had at Rowan. She got mad when we asked questions and spoke way too fast for anyone to understand. Her exams were really difficult and she wasn't very helpful even during office hours.

I am taking her now. She is a nice lady, I will give her that, however when people do bad on a test she gets mad and basically calls you stupid and does not understand why we put the answers we did. She does not explain really well so you have to learn it on your own. And test were always similar to what we "learned" but always a curve! SHE'S CRAZY

Comment:

Had Dr. Kyj for Advanced Accounting. One of the best accounting professors at Rowan. The subject is difficult but she provides detailed outlines for each chapter so that you are able to pay attention while she lectures. She offers unlimited help ~ just ask. Truly wants to see each student succeed. Highly recommend. Would definitely take again!

I had Dr. Kyj for advanced accounting. The class is hard you have to do the work. Do the homework assignments and study for her exams. There are several projects you have to do which help your grade. She does help you if you need it. The only complaint I have is that she moves kinda fast but other then that just do the homework and study.

Wonderful! I had her for Advanced Accounting and Integrative Acctg seminar. Very helpful! She wants you to do well. Just do the work, and ask questions! you cannot shlep through this class. you have to do the work. she is under rated! I recommend her!

Good luck, you're going to need it. I got A's but that is no reflection of what I learned in both of her sections, yes I took her for both Advanced and Integrative. She is really a sweetheart deep down, just wound a little tight. Her lectures can make your head spin, better form a solid study squad. True Story. - The Network

I don't know why everyone hates her soo much,,I really like her teaching style. Her class is not bad, you just have to study note packet she gives you and you will be good..Test are exactly like the homework problems just different numbers.

She has difficulty explaining the concepts to her student and routinely corrects herself after explaining problems. She is helpful in office hours, however she does not respond to e-mail messages from her students. She is out of touch and is clearly the worst tenured accounting professor with regards to her teaching ability. Avoid her if you can.

This professor needs to retire. She does a poor job explaining things, gets mad when nobody asks questions, then when someone finally does she doesn't answer the question. The homework is redicilious and you won't use half of it on tests. She is out of touch - avoid if posssible.

Probably one of the most confusing professors i ever had. has a hell of a time trying to clearly convey the information to students, tests are mc, doesn't even look at the work you do. overall, very bizzarre lady.

She's a descent teacher, but if you just go over the homework before every quiz and test you will get an easy A. She also gives you 28 questions on exams and grades you out of 25 so theres a curve to everything

She knows her stuff really well! Unfortunately, she goes a bit quick and the material is pretty dry. She is very fair with her grading and is willing to help during her office hours. Most assignments and exams are relevant and fair. Generally, not bad. Certainly not an easy class though...unless you're an accountant.
