Dr. Rotunno is a wonderful person but a very tough grader when it comes to papers. The first month you'll read 3 entire novels and after that it's more discussion and project/paper/presentation based. Her feedback is very helpful. Go to her office hours and have her read over your paper before you turn it in, your gpa will thank you.

This honors class isn't easy. A majority of my homework this semester came from this class--reading, blogs, papers, presentations etc. Grading can be tough, but lots of extra credit. That being said, Dr. Rotunno is an amazing professor and person. She is always willing to help beyond class (whether directly related to her class or not.)

She is a very good professor who obviously knows her subject well, and cares for her students. The material was very interesting, however she tended to grade very strictly. Lots of opportunities for extra credit, so she is fair when it comes to bringing grades up. Be prepared for tough work when taking her classes.

She's a great professor but a hard grader! I'm not the best writer and I got B's on all of my papers. There is a lot of bonus though and no tests. Great professor for an honors class but if you aren't the best writer and you don't need this class and/or aren't ready to read and write a lot, don't take it.

Dr. Rotunno is an amazing professor for first year honors students. She starts out relatively easy and slowly increases in difficulty. You will have to do some reading (usually 75-100 pages between each time you have her class), but it doesn't seem like that much because the books are interesting. The best part? No tests!

She's very nice and incredibly interested by what she teaches. You have on average a paper due every ten days sometimes more sometimes less. I consider myself a great writer and have never this semester got an A on any essay. Her grading is absolutely brutal. I've handed things in with a smile on my face only to get a C in return.

You have to bring your all to this class. Dr. Rotunno is a very cool woman, but her class is tough. The midterm is one of the toughest exams I have ever taken. Find a way to study until you know every word of every poem! She's a great person, though, and she expects you to continue to improve and give it your all. If you're dedicated, take her.

Dr. R is soooo sweet, helpful and nice. And she is extremely intelligent. Expect a LOT of papers and a lot of revisions. She expects your best and will tell you if you can do better. Don't wait till the last minute to do papers and take any advice she gives you. FAVE Engl teacher for sure.

Dr. Rotunno is a fantastic teacher. The class I'm taking with her is a 200-level course but she makes the work very easy and simple to understand. Her classes move fast and are pretty interesting (including the work on poetry) -- just be careful to read *everything assigned*. Everything! Every class revolves around discussing reading assignments.

A very challenging class. No matter how good a paper you write, she will always urge you to make it better - and your grade depends on it. The material is profound and stimulating even if you aren't an English major. If you're going into this class, make sure you're ready for a commitment.

If you dont like to read or write this is not the class for you. You read a lot of books but they are interesting. She is not an easy grader but she is very helpful. It helps alot if you participate in class. If you like English you will really enjoy this class and you will learn alot.

She's upbeat and energetic and keeps the class into it for an 8 am class. This course has a good amount of reading and writing, due to mandatory revisions, but as long as you are prepared to do that work you will do very well. There are a lot of points in the class so just do all your work and you'll get a high grade!

She's amazing- I really enjoyed her class...and I'm not a fan of British Literature (at all). I didn't find her grading that difficult, but you have to actually try. I submitted, what I thought, to be the worst essays and I'd get a 90. She's fair- she tells you what the essay's looking for, she tells you the big essay questions on your final.

Super nice lady-will do anything she can to help you. Six or seven papers but it is an honors class...not too hard of a grader but expects you to put in some serious effort. Really fun in class and always in a good mood. I got an A and never got over an 89% on any of the papers. Wasn't expecting it but apparently she gives effort points!

SheĆ¢€™s a nice lady, but very hard. Don't take this class unless you love writing papers! If you need a seminar, PSU classes are much easier. I recommend taking another eng 15 and a psu class. This class was too much work!

She is a tough grader. She isn't always clear in the syllabus of how she actually grades. But, that aside, she is very helpful- willing to proof rough drafts, and she is very approachable. Attendance is flexible. The best part is, she grades based on improvement. So, even if you don't get A's on every paper, you can still manage one overall.
