The greatest professor or even teacher I have ever had. The woman is an ABSOLUTE genius and appreciates intelligence, hard work, spirit, and critical thinking. If you aren't prepared to go to class and put in your very best effort- she will chew you up and spit you out. She grooms the best to perfection: appreciate it.

Great Professor, you just have to get used to her humor and overall attitude. Extremely brilliant and knows her stuff. Just do the reading and participate. Semi hard grader for papers, but overall will only make you a better writer. Try and you will do good.

Class was interesting but serious and dry. You need to make the decision right away not to be offended by anything she says--if you do, some of her inflammatory comments can actually be quite funny. She accepts no B.S. or shoddy writing, so don't leave assignments for the night before. She expects legitimate academic work. Don't expect coddling.

I took this class under the impression we would be studying Homers works instead she shoved her opinions of abortion down everyones throats. She was rude, confusing, and offensive.she doesnt care about the students and spent most of the time degrading everyone.I honestly dont know how she returns every year.

She's tough and extremely intelligent. I learned a lot in Law and Disorder in Literature, all of the readings/films/cartoons were stimulating and relevant; studying Where the Wild Things Are was amazing! She's a ball-buster, and I noticed most people that don't like her are alpha-males. As a female, she was one of the best teachers I've ever had.

After reading the comments on here, I was expecting the worst... but Dr. M is the best professor I have had at WCU. She expects a lot from her students, but it benefits you in the end. Just do the work and go to class. She is more than willing to help anyone out. She is the most helpful & caring professor at WCU. Highly recommended!

Her class only has 4 papers you do, thats pretty much all you get graded on except for 2 or 3 prompts here and there. You have to write two small papers (500 words) and two large (3+ pages single spaced). She is not very accepting of other peoples beliefs, she'll pretend she is for a little while but if your a Christian, she'll bash your religion.

Class is okay. Don't let her stress you out. You have to write four papers for her (two that are 350 words, two that are 3-5 pages). You can write about anything you've read in class so far. If you're good at BS, you don't need to read any of the books, as she spends the entire class talking about them. She's very pompous and loves to belittle you.

Diversity classes are necessary for this professor. She is rude and petty. Gives assignments that takes wasted class periods to figure out want she wants. Unhelpful old crabby cranky fossil. Overall, Professor Myrsiades is fair. She teaches at a college level and expects college level work from her students. Though she exudes a "tough as nails" vibe, one on one she is quite helpful and understanding. Ask for help. If you are looking for a mom stay home, but if you just want a solid professor with some interesting view points sign up.

This woman has the soul of a pit bull. Rude, condescending, and personally insulting at every opportunity. Inappropriately politicizes assignments (and I say this as someone who shares her politics). Poorly organized and unbalanced approach to material. Save yourself some mental scars and AVOID!!!!!!!
