GREAT professor! I had her for field biology, and I thought I would hate it..but it ended up being one of my favorite classes. She always has interesting stories, and you can learn A LOT from her. We went on fun field trips..like hiking, and did a lot of activities in lab. You have to study for the exams, but they are fair. TAKE HER!!!!

Comment:

Has little or no patience with the class and gives such trivial information about nothing. Goes on and on and has no sense that the class has tuned out, boring beyond reason. She has been outright rude at times and thinks she knows it all. Often late and always absent minded and disorganized but she does seem to know quite a lot of bio.

Read the book!! Do all the study questions. She is not a hard professor. The only problem is that she shows the class to many overheads and doesn't fully lecture on the subject. If you read and do study questions you will be fine. I got an "A". She does give extra credit, so take advantage.

use the book because she'll only confuse you when she lectures. she talks about a lot of useless stuff that doesn't even show up on the exam. if you're willing to do the work of reading and teaching yourself, you can do well. but be prepared to be bored to tears. i didn't learn anything from her, but i still pulled a B+.

Take Professor Himmelstein. This class was totally unstructured, unorganized and in my opinion a waste of money. It was impossible to study for any of the tests or labs because you were never sure what information you needed to know. You will get more out of this class if you take another professor for Field Bio.

The only good think I can say about her is that it was a 8am Saturday class and she started it at 9 besides that she was pretty much useless. I had to do some stupid leaf collection, she expects you to collect 25 types of leaves and name them with the help of a few black and white books. It's ridiculous.

Terrible. She passed out one of my lab reports to the class to show them an example of very good work. One of my classmates stole my work. She made me redo it from scratch. She also gave me a study sheet for chapter 49, but tested me on 47. I cant wait to see my grade. Plus everything she says will be the most important thing you've ever heard.

Absolutely sucked. The worst teacher I've had at any level, really. She is boring and confusing and nobody in the class was ever sure what was going on or when assignments were due. She once had me study the wrong chapters and I failed the test. I had a 3.9 GPA and got a B- in her class as a senior. She sucks.

what a b**** very hard! Boring. no brakes plus has the nerve to keep you sometimes half hour longer then she should. If you go on the field trip with her, she'll bore u to death with "mini ecosystems" and "bark of different trees". RUN and take Hemmilstein instead. He's deaf but a fun and nice professor.

Where do I begin she is the worst Professor I've ever taken. If you're a student who relies on the "benefit of the doubt" forget about it with this lady. She was the most ridiculous professor I have had in the almost 4 years I have gone to WPU. She's impossible and unyeilding. She talks constantly about apple orchards and her profit margin/ deer problem. The first C I ever got in my whole college career
