This is by far the hardest class I've ever taken. Study like your life depends on it for the midterm and final. Hard grader and you MUST go to class and take notes on everything he says. Keep up with the case briefs and it will save your life in the end.

Hardest class I have taken at LSU. Day is a really tough grader and basically expects you to memorize about 60 cases word-for-word for the final exam. The average grade on the Midterm was a 54. Essays are tough and require a lot of work and critical thinking. The class is passable but forget about getting an A.

Day is super set in his ways and very knowledgable when it comes to law. It's not impossible to do well, but you're going to have to put forth effort. Show up to class with your case briefs finished! They will either make or break you at the end because he uses participation for bonus. Only tests are midterm and final (based on hypothetical cases).

Hardest. Tests. of. All. Time. Please please spare yourself and DO NOT TAKE HIM. I dreaded every day of his class. The final exam was 32 essay questions.

TAKE SOMEONE ELSE IF YOU CAN. The class requires a LOT of work. I also found the content of the class pretty boring. He's a really nice guy, but taking his class isn't worth it. I made a 56% on the midterm. I'm scared to see what I make on the final. 5 critical thinking essays, a billion case briefs, midterm & final. Good luck if you take him.

Word of advice: take another professor. I consider myself an above-average student and I had issues with this class. You have two essay exams: midterm and final. There are case briefs due about every other class. There are also 5 critical thinking essays. He's knowledgable, for sure, but makes the class harder than necessary.

Hardest class I've taken so far. 5 essays to be completed throughout the semester, as well as case briefs (don't wait until the last minute to do them!) Only exams are Midterm and Final, worth 20% and 40% of your final grade respectively. Both exams are very hard even if you do study; lots of concept application. Definitely not an "easy A"class

Great lecturer. This class is tough, but you learn a lot. 8 case studies (average 6-10 pages each), 4 essays, 2 essay tests and participation. If you don't go to class, you won't pass. Make friends and compile notes for the tests because they are tough and your answers need to be thorough. Final is comprehensive and worth 30% of your grade.

Day is one of the best professors I've had at LSU. He's intelligent and often gives examples from personal experience, like his time as a reporter in Vietnam. Beware if you're lazy (7 cases, 4 essays and 2 exams). His grading style is straightforwardhe looks for thorough work. Pay attention, take notes and don't put it off till the last minute.

Professor Day is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He clearly cares about his students and has a genuine passion for teaching. Class is engaging and interesting. The class requires a lot of writing, but it is not difficult. I absolutely loved this class and always looked forward to it!

The graded work in this course includes 5 critical thinking essays that are fairly easy to get A's on if you put forth effort. There is a midterm and final which are pretty tough, but his grading scale makes it hard to fail if you attend class. Case briefs make up 10 percent of your grade. Make sure you attend class as much as possible.

Day loves his media ethics. He wrote the freaking book. In his class, you will spend more time writing case studies (6-8 page papers) than you will be attending class. The syllabus is 17 pages long. Attendance is required, though his lectures are often interesting. That's the only highlight of the course.2 exams, brutal. grading is rough. Good luck
