Professor Snipes was very rude any time I reached out for help and made me, the student, feel very judged when trying to receive help. I would not recommend this professor to anyone.

Very specific about word arrangement from theories and major concepts. Her teaching in all classes is very structured on her own predisposed perspective. In, general a great teacher, but be mindful that many topics will be covered based on her own pretentious.

Dr. Snipes is nice but an extremely harsh grader. If you leave out even the slightest or most minor detail, you will lose points over it (unless it's a discussion post, which she seems to be more lenient over). You HAVE to do the work early so that you can make sure you put as much detail as possible.

She's definitely a good person who is well-intentioned. I dig her lectures and her pretty unbiased opinions. On the other hand, tests are very hard, even online. Just make sure you read. You'll make a decent grade if you read and study.

Ridiculous tests. Don't listen to anyone else on this forum. I have been studying two weeks going over 6 weeks worth of work (she never specified WHAT to study) and ended up taking an exam that was heavily focused on Biology. I am an online student, I don't know if that makes it better or worse. If this isn't your major, I would pick someone else.

By far, the best professor I have ever had. She is so helpful and is always available after class to answer any questions that I might have. Her lectures are the best and she grades efficiently and fairly. Hoping to take another class soon and thinking about majoring in Anthropology.

Absolutely terrible experience. More or less ruined anthropology for me. Very disappointing. The tests are RIDICULOUS, and she does not grade fairly. I have never in my life struggled so hard, and no other professor in the history of the universe has ever graded quite as harshly for no good reason. She expects you to know everything that she knows.

Professor Snipes is an amazing professor! You can clearly tell she knows what she's talking about . Don't let the hard tests discourage you from taking her class, if you pay attention and do the homework they won't seem that bad. After the first test taking notes in class won't be hard because you'll know the kind of info she'll want you to know.

She is a wonderful and amazing person. She is so helpful and takes her OWN time to answer any questions that we might have (office hours). There is always a line outside her door which just goes to show how much she is loved and respected by the students and teachers. Absolutely the best lecturer I have ever seen! She is a true teacher! Thank you!

If you have her on your schedule RUN!! She takes roll EVERYDAY and her lectures are super heavy! THE lectures are only done voically (no PowerPoint will ever be posted!) so you should not miss class! Test are hard with a written section but there are no quizzes. Overall, the class is interesting but it definitely gets boring at times.

Dr. Snipes is an amazing professor who is extremely smart and respected in the anthropology field. Attendance for her class is mandatory and if you skip class you will not pass- she doesn't post any information online because her class only consists of lectures and notes. Tests are hard because they are half short answer and half multiple choice.

She teaches Anthropology well, and she obviously enjoys it, but wow... The tests are next to impossible for an intro level class. Really, they are hard. She makes you do both a written portion and a multiple choice portion, and it covers EVERYTHING. Every little detail from class must be recorded in your notes and studied from. Otherwise, good luck

She's knowledgeable about everything pertaining to Anthropology. Everything she says is important, so you have to be a quick note taker. She has commentaries that are extremely important so do them. The tests are straight from the notes. If you take good notes, study hard, and do the commentaries, you will pass.

She's ok. I'm taking her now. She makes it interesting. She's very nice but her tests are hard. 40multiple choice and the rest is writing. ALOT OF WRITING. 3 pages of writing. There are 8 commentaries that equal to be a test grade so take them seriously
