Comment:
Having Aliano during my first semester of my Freshman year, Aliano was definitely the worse professor out of my other three professors. His lecturers are boring, and there's rarely any discussion. The books are garbage, and to end it, I would not recommend Professor Aliano.

Aliano was a great lecturer but that is all he does. If you don't show up for the class then you will have no idea what is going on in class. There are four exams which makes each one very high stakes. He says that you have to read the book but I rarely did and ended up with a decent grade. Definitely would recommend this class.

Grade is based off only 4 tests, no assignments. Final was cancelled because he did not have enough time to cover all topics. He does not take attendance, but if you don't go you'll probably be lost. No textbook work but the textbook helps in understanding material. Nice guy but talks slowly, kinda boring. Allows papers for extra credit

Aliano is absolutely wonderful. I loved listening to him lecture, although I was very intimidated at first. He only uses the chalkboard: no powerpoint, or canvas. Attend class and take good notes, read before his class. Study for the tests, he makes you work for it but is always available to help you. He explains everything and gives good examples

This was an interesting class but the exams were difficult for me. Aliano writes notes on a whiteboard, but I learned that you have to write down what he says and not what he writes. So you absolutely need to show up to class and pay attention. Unless you record his lectures, studying is impossible. Overall a decent class, just not for me.

Aliano has a chip on his shoulder. He thinks he great and knows everything. This class is awful. Its lecture heavy and based on only four exams. Everyone fails the exams so he has to scale. Overall, did not learn a lot and caused me stress for an elective class. Would not recommend.

He is probably one of the hardest professors I had. His grades only are 4 exams and they are impossible to pass even though he curves them. If you want to read a lot and have your grade based on exams then take his class. I wouldn't take him again.

Aliano is the absolute man, chews on his cigar, wears boss ass hats, and talks like he's straight out of Brooklyn (which he is). Class is difficult, tests are unreasonably hard, reading needs to be done outside of class to excel. Awesome guy, definitely lives in an all glass house with a case full of shotguns and cigars. Overall not a bad class.

Dr Aliano is a great teacher, I highly recommend taking his classes but be prepared to work for your grade! Go to class and take good notes! Taking good notes helped immensely when it came time to study for the exams because he does a good job of making it clear in his lectures what material is most important to know from the assigned readings.

Really cares about what he's teaching. Scary at first but super helpful in office hours. No homework or assignments really just readings and lecture notes that he bases his exams off of. Only 4 exams that make up your total grade and grades heavily on a curve

Dr. Alliano is intelligent and will pass his knowledge down if you are willing to listen and read what is given. His 400 level course he doesn't like as much so it's not a good way of getting to know his teaching skills. His harder courses are where he is passionate about and that is when he will pay more attention to each individual student.

Professor Aliano is one of the best professors I have ever had. If you are interested in the law, take this class!! He is very tough, will make you work for it, but if you ask for help he is there for you. He gives AMAZING lectures, is extremely knowledgeable and very funny. Utilize his office hours, make sure you read and you will be set.

Alien is the goat. Quoted the Godfather on the first day. Lectures are clear cut. Nothing is online so you need to go to class. Readings are all in the syllabus. If you don't read it WILL hurt you on exam. His exams are very tough, prepare to study. All multiple choice. Only 4 exams all semester, only reading for homework. All exams get curved.

Best professor at UNH - I have taken all four of his courses. It helps to be well prepared because he will call on you, and class participation and attendance count toward a good grade. He does not want to be entertaining, but you will laugh at least once (usually several times) in each class. Highly recommend!

Downright awesome. He will help if you ask for it. He's very old school and does not use any real technology, he just stands in front of the class and talks. If you pay attention in class and take notes, and do maybe half of the readings, you'll get a good grade

Awesome professor. I really did enjoy his class. His lectures were very interesting, but that might just be because I am interested in politics. It could be boring if you are not particularly interested in the government. That being said, his tests are very hard. I studied a lot and did terrible on the first exam.

Professor Aliano is by far one of the coolest professors I've ever had. He is incredibly knowledgable in his field. He can surely make the driest material interesting and always a cool story or case to share with the students. He is a bit harsh when it comes to grading, and you will be expected to do all your readings, but you won't regret it.

If you're willing to read heavily and really study for tests then you may do alright. Tests are extremely hard but he scales them significantly (failed all 3 but still got a C+). There are no assignments and you really don't have to go to class except when he plays movies. Most lectures are boring and much of the material is too. TESTS ARE HARD.
