I recommend Mrs. Breedlove instead. Also, if you're looking to take French 8 (conversational french) unfortunately SMC isn't offering it this year. But, West Los Angeles College is. Fee are low including parking (compared to SMC). Class starts 8/31/09. I just enrolled. Hope to see you there.

Very competent Prof. She's hard, but she knows what she's doing. My only complaint would be that she emphasizes too many nit-picky rules that make it seem more complicated than it has to. But very likeable lady - very French! And you'll learn.

The best french teacher. Wish I could've taken her for french 4 this coming semester. If you get a chance take any of her classes. She opens your mind to more than just french grammar. It was great to read french literature along with her insight and valuble inforamation.

Excellent teacher. If you want to know the grammar and know how to speak French right, take this class. You have to do the homework but it is worthy! She only speaks French in class. The best language teacher.

she is a competent prof. who knows how to organize a class. but be prepared to do homework nightly - it's the only way to learn a language. she focuses on a lot of minutiae, so if you just want an easy conversation class, and you don't want to bother with grammar, this class isn't for you.

Excellent, knows everything about her language, very organized and fair. Strict and requires you to think, but I learned a lot from her. She loves what she does and is always willing to help.

Had her for French 2 and 3. I got a A in both classes. She is the hardest or the French teachers but worht the extra effort. It will pay off if you take courses after you transfer. Tests are very fair. One of my favorite instructors at SMC.
