The dear Doctor's time has come. She is useless. I got an A in her class and i did not deserve it. I put garbage into my reports but because it was in her format she was ok with it. You could put binary code on her reports and she would like it. She should not be teaching grad school.

I LOVED Dr Applegate!! Yes, she can get caught up in explaining things that seem to not make any sense but just tell her. She is very helpful I didn't like the CRI model at first but found it very useful at the end of the semester. I would recommend her to anyone!

She can be confusing at times but as many said you can learn a lot if you show up and do your work. I do wish the content was more clear. However, she will respect you if you communicate openly with her and show up to her class regularly and ON TIME. Those who have trouble with her are those who don't attend class regularly or complete the work.

TERRIBLE, terrible professor. most definitely picks favorites. very tough mid-term and final. she also writes the all grades on the board for everyone to see. called me into her office to ask why i did so poorly on my midterm... and even after attempting to explain that i have a reading disability and SHOULD HAVE been allowed extended time she

DR. Applegate is arrogant and prides herself from being the best teacher. She is absolutely horrible. We had to pay for some lousy paper that she published and she supposdly instructed from it. It was very poorly written and it made no sense. It still didn't make any sense, even when she tried to explain her own writing. She is incompetent.

One of the best education teachers in the department. So easy to get along with and she really takes the time to explain methods of education to her students. Class is usually small, we had 14 people, shes a hard grader but its worth it. You learn so much from her & shes so easy to get along with & much better than Kong and Lazar! I love Mary!!

I have heard a lot of complaints about "favorites" but the truth is that she likes ppl who show up and do their work. That's it. If you communicate w/her, you'll be fine! EVERYONE in my class loved her (7 of us)! She always entertained us and would laugh along with us when she got a lil confused. We had a blast and all did well. She's wonderful!

Dr. Applegate requires you to know your stuff. If you pay attention in class and ask questions you will do well. She tells funny stories. She is a good teacher but you have to be prepared to work hard.

picks favorites, which are reflective in your grade as i obviously was not one of them. dont even think about missing class. i put more work into this class than any other course i have ever taken and got nothing but a lowered gpa. also, the midterm and the final are worth 50% of your grade while you have a massive work load.

I have to admit, in the beginning, Dr Applegate was difficult to get used to. She is very different from any professor Ive had before. But once the course got started I found out that that is a very good thing. She put a new spin on many different aspects of education. Take her! and open your mind to new ideas. I love her!!

I love applegate! she was so nice, you just have to get on her good side- no need to suck up, just do your work! there is alot of work but its not hard and she gives you the anwsers to the exams all you have to do is memorize and its a good grade! you will learn alot and its this class is def worthwile in the long run

I love Dr. Applegate... you will learn more from her in reading lit than you did in all your other education classes. The class is a lot of work but it will help you in the long run. She is enthusiastic and very passionate about teaching
