Love Mary Jo! I've taken a few of her classes. She expects a lot, but only because she wants you to do well. Very approachable and helpful. Great to get to know on a personal level, not just a face lecturing at you. Take any class you can with her.

Great Teacher, this is a choir for people that do not really have a lot of music experience but love to sing, she teaches you how to read music and sight sing, and if you have difficulties, she is always willing to work with you!

This class was fun and mostly enjoyable. It was, however, far easier than high school choir and far more demanding. You are expected to give your nights and weekends to this choir to sing pieces that are too easy for college choirs to be doing. Mary Jo is not very understanding and tends to be rude to students.

Great way to stay involved in music especially if you aren't a music major. Not as demanding as concert choir but Mary Jo still makes sure we give a high quality performance that we can be very proud of. Mary Jo is the kind of person you need to get to know just because. Mary Jo is so nice and personable. The absence policy is indeed 2 per sem, but she is very understanding and flexible and will work with you so your grade doesn't suffer. She's smart and passionate about music. I definitely recommend her!!!

Mary Jo's a great teacher... choir is tons of fun, and she's an awesome person. The only drawback is that you're only allowed 2 absences per sem and then your grade starts dropping. I definitely recommend taking choir with her though.

A very awesome choir teacher who definately knows how to teach! She makes choir a ton of fun and also knows how to make us sing our bests! I've been in choir for 7 years now, and she ranks right up there within my top teachers! Totally fun!
