Comment:

Dr. Metzger is great at explaining the class material and he is very willing to help his students. You do have to put the work in and study for his tests, but if you understand the concepts, you'll be fine. The class is lecture heavy so you do have to attend and take good notes, but the material is very interesting so I didn't mind.

Metzger is an awesome professor because he makes sense and cares about psych. He convinced me to have a minor in psych! You really have to study for his test because they include a lot of info. Go to class, that is where you learn everything because his lectures/power points are replicas of the test! I would 100% take him again

Grading is not objective in any class taken with this professor. Bodily-kinesthetic learners are out of luck, as lectures are the only tool Dr. Metzger abides by. Very hard grader.

First off, it is in your best interest to attend class every session. He has very clear standards and expectations of the class and your work, but he knows what he's doing. Great professor, a bit lecture heavy but if you take good notes, you'll do fine. Also, studying and reading the assigned chapter are basically the keys to success.

I took Dr. Metzger for psychology 101. I have around a 3.5 here an worked very hard for a B. His tests come straight from lecture and are VERY straightforward but cover LOTS of information. You also have to be DEAD ON in your answers on his exams. He is a great professor and you will learn a ton. However, you must work hard for a decent grade.

There are 4 tests, each over 3 chapters at a time. Tests are somewhat easy, but don't plan on cramming the night before. Final exam is not cumulative. You have to write 2 papers, 1,000 words each but they are very easy to write, I got a 2525 on both of them and it took me a half hour a piece. Overall, great teacher!

I love Dr. Metzger. Psy102 is easy and the exams are nothing at all. One paper has to be written for the very end of the semester. He gives a reading about once a week that you print out from email and complete. Come to class prepared! He is big on discussions and being involved in class. Wonderful professor, I would take him again in a heart beat

Awesome professor and awesome guy. Very helpful and good at keeping student's attention. He is easy but also really knows his stuff so be prepared to learn and keep a steady workload. Definitely recommend his class

Always a great time. He is my favorite professor on campus. He is always willing to help a student. Read his texts. Take notes, and study for more than an hour!! If you work hard, it will pay off. And of course, he is gorgeous!

He was really good for Psych 101 so I took him for statistics but it is the most boring class that I have ever been in. We've been covering samples and populations for almost 10 weeks now-very repetitive. If it wasn't mandatory I would have dropped it a long time ago.

Awesome teacher who is straightforward with his intent. Does not sugar-coat anything. Test come right from the book and lectures, so keep up on your reading. Oh, and can I just mention that he is super cute, except for those loafers. He needs to burn them and get a nice pair of dress shoes.
