Horrible. Expected students to implement a neural network in System Verilog when students weren't expected to know neural networks in the first place. He doesn't go over any code in class so that's left on you to learn. Good luck if you aren't good at programming. AVOID.

You just watch him code during lectures. But he makes a lot of coding errors, then does something obscure to edit them without explaining himself. His teaching style is unstructured & his directions are unclear. You'll rely heavily on the TA & online resources because Morris isn't helpful with questions. Easy grader, page of notes on exams.

He knows everything about EE including Analog design, digital design, ASIC design, testing and IT stuff. He is like a great resource for you to learn from and he also brings lots knowledge from industry. I can't explain how amazing he is and I can definitely say he is one of the best professor in the ee department in SJSU.

Has good industry knowledge that he brings to the class. Was looking for internships around the time I took his class and the stuff I learned in class really helped me clinch the internship. Classes are easy. He provides make up exams too, so grades are no issue. The projects are extensive and usually involve a technology closer to industry use.

Was CTO in '99 or earlier It's 2016 now. Teaches old generic stuff that freshers dont know. Vauge talks, sarcastic replies, highly dis-organized , BS boring stories, I was confused as to what i learned after this course. Assignments are vauge and his commands (assignments) often dont work . loads of self praise. He's in SJSU just to make $ @ 70..

The good thing is his projects and assignment. His lectures are all confusing. Throws big words and students awe. He is the only good professor in SJSU Electrical Department, but he has also lowered his bar. He can really mold students well, but prefers to engage in self praise. Man is full of ethics. Ethics Vs someone's career(life). Its ethics

If you want an ASIC design class, SJSU does not offer anyone better, but he's not as good as some ratings suggest. Very industry knowledgeable and smart person, but does NOT do great job at conveying his knowledge to students. He bombards you with a ton of material, but not in way that is easy to follow. Still, you will learn some useful stuff.

Tries to cram in too many stuff within each class. Gives lot of meaningful assignments and will ensure that students are ready to face interviews confidently. Easy grades are assured if you study his previous exams quite well. Re-midterms are too offered. One of the few professors who's really passionate about what they are teaching.

He is very concise in this teaching. Quality of teaching is impeccable. If a student can't make the best out of attending his classes and comes here and gives a bad rating misguiding others probably have no hold on the basics of the subject, are not fit to be graduate students, or probably should change their major.

No words to describe how good he is!!! He is just amazing. And for all those who gave him a bad rating - I think these are the kind of students who don't have basic understanding which is expected from a undergrad student. Remember this is a GRADUATE course. You can't expect him to teach basics. Even though he does a very good job brushing upbasics

You will sweat and feel overwhelmed sitting in his classes. But if you get through the initial storm, the learning is guaranteed and you can apply most of that elementary knowledge to your work. Definitely worth taking his classes and fasten the seat belts as you will be bombarded with plethora of experience.

Very industry knowledgeable and smart, but not the best teacher in my opinion. Somewhat disorganized. Lectures are a bit sloppy, too fast, and often lacking detail. Tests don't always reflect lecture material, so, to get a decent grade you must study previous midterms (I got A-). Will pick students during class to answer questions at the board.

at first seemed to be an excellent professor...later turned out in other way..lots of experience and knowledge..but cant even explain simple concepts clearly..the students cant comprehend what he intends to deliver..highly dis-organized...he is the only person in this whole world who can take the entire concept of data converters in a single class!
