There is a quiz literally every class and you are expected to read every night. She does not use D2L, just paper and/or email. She does curve some stuff. It's all just based on your study habits and making sure to take notes at EVERY LECTURE.

Comment:

I loved Mrs. Rupprecht. This class was not very demanding, and she gave us an entire semester to work on a simple project that was worth 40% of the grade. You WILL have to read a chapter before every class, and take a quiz on it. Also, please be kind. She had a stroke and that's why she cannot stand or walk around for class. She tries her best.

Professor Rupprecht's class is painful. No visual aids. Just her talking in her chair for what seems like forever. Don't get me wrong, you can tell she's super smart & knows what she's talking about. You can learn a lot from her;if you manage to stay awake. Quizzes each class. No guides on what you should write down or what will be on the test. RUN

Dr. Rupprecht is quite the character. She can be funny but she is also a little rough around the edges. Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT be late for her class or she will cause a huge scene in front of the whole class about how she can't stand late people because she loses her place. Absolutely NO power points, just straight lectures. Quizzes every class.

Dr. Rupprecht is quite a character. She has her funny moments, if you can focus enough to catch them. No visual aids, just her in a chair, lecturing with you taking notes. Quizzes over the reading everyday aren't too terrible. Best of luck on the exams though, she had to curve our midterm 24 points, it was that rough. Don't expect an easy A.

Professor Rupprecht: she's alright outside of class, but her lectures are hard to pick up on. Going off on a tangent is her thing so we never really know what to write down. On a side note, I think she likes to cuss in German randomly because she doesn't think we understand it.

Dr. Rupprecht only lectures. There are no visual aids, games, activities, etc. She is an old school history professor in that regard. She can be rude at times, and asigns a huge workload, DO not take unless the herclass is required or of special interest.

Terrible!!!! Do not take this class. She is terrible and literally just wobbles in and sits there and talks the whole time. No visual aids or anything. Plus you have a quiz everyday so you can never miss. You looking for an easy gen ed?? This is not it!!!

Great class. She has her funny moments. She is tough but you learn the material. The class is basically a ww1 and ww2 class but she will teach you alot. Stay ahead of the reading and you will do fine. set up a study group and divide the reading and everything will work out. The quizzes do make up majority of the test.

I hope you're not required to take Western Civ II, because she is the ONLY one who teaches it. The workload is rediculous, and doesn't permit anyone with a job to be balance this class with their others. Tons of reading, with daily quizzes about trivial things. She's also meaner than a junkyard dog. Abandon all hope.

I had Dr. Rupprecht for Germany Since 1870. It was an awesome class, and she's a great professor, but be warned: she is *serious* about the readings, and she assigns a ton of them AND quizzes the class on them the next day. While the material and professor are great, this is not a class you should take if you already have a huge course load.

She truly understands her subject which is good BUT daily quizzes cover trivia instead of overall events. It is VERY frustrating. She seems to be aware that her tests are difficult, gives entire class an additional 20% on EVERYTHING. I would prefer clear questions and concepts instead. Pay close attention to feminist issues in class. She loves it

I love Rupprecht, she's the reason why I decided to major in History in the first place. She is difficult because she lectures quickly and hates to be interuppted or to repeat herself, so learn to take good notes. Use shorthand and look up the spellings later. If you have problems in her class TALK TO HER. She is very accomodating and helpful.

I used to be a history major, i like history...but this woman made the subject absolutely miserable. All we learned about was the intellectual philosophy of aristotle and plato. Also, she gives quizes before every class that are very dificult.

Horrible teacher! She gives quizes before EVERY class that cover very long reading assignments. Tests are 100 questions that ask very specific things.
