professor Shaprio's online class is very demanding. There so much work involved in the class you almost feel overwhelmed by it all. She does work around deadlines and will assist you. Her grading is very strict and it is almost impossble to receive an ideal grade from her. There is 4 exams each 4 hours long and a 10 page art topic paper at the end

This professors online class consisted of four, four hour long essay only exams. They were very difficult and took the entire time given. Discussion boards are due every week. She will work with you around the due dates, but the class itself is a lot. It is possible to do well but it takes a lot of time and effort, more than a 101 course should.

If you do not know or love art, you will get to know it very well and appreciate the history of it. Prof. Shapiro inspires you to look beyond a sculpture, a fresco or even and architectural find. This course really opened my eyes and heart towards art. I am glad that i took this course, she was phenomenal in teaching it. You will not regret it.

So annoyed with the amount of work that has to be done in this class. I don't feel there needs to be this much coursework. First class had two assignments due on the same day. As a level 100 class, why should you ask questions to your peers even AFTER you said your piece in their discussion??.

Professor Shapiro keep me on my toes and held me accountable. Initially, I thought that her online class would be easy but she proved otherwise. I thoroughly learned from her, she's a plethora of knowledge, and her passion and her commitment is evident! She has opened my eyes and my interest on continuing my exploration and appreciation in the arts

Yes, she gave very long and time consuming assignments. However, she is very understanding if we need extra time to complete them as long as you talk to her. Communication is key with her. She is a sweetheart. A few students (including myself) mentioned the assignments being too long. Ever since then, they have been much shorter.

Took her online Art History class. The class was not easy, it required A LOT of reading and research. We ALWAYS had something to hand in whether it was an essay or answers to questions. She as a teacher was very flexible and understanding and even allowed late work as long as you contacted her. Her grading system was also fair.

Professor Shapiro is a great professor and person. You learn to appreciate art in a different way from her class. She is very helpful and grades fairly. It's a hard class but I will definite recommend her.

This class is very hard and challenging. There is a ton of reading. This class is not a cake walk. She's easy to get in contact with and will answer any questions. She's not that strict on grading your work but it's a hard class to take. A research paper is required and there is always something going on. Very rare to have an easy week.
