Dr. Naomi is a wonder professor! She is super caring and will do anything to help you succeed. Staying on top of her online quizzes is important because they are easy grade boosters. All of her assignments come with extremely detailed assignment sheets which makes things very helpful and if you follow the rubric you will get a good grade.

Comment:

Love Dr. Naomi! She's kinda dorky but in the sweet, funny way. Definitely worth taking! Her exams can be kinda hard, but her papers have such detailed instructions that they're basically written for you. If you keep up with her quizzes, you can get a great grade.

Always wants something specific but is never clear about it until it is too late. Will not fix something if you point out something was wrong. (for example you prove the "right" answer on a test is actually wrong based on information she gives you, she will not give back points even if she admits she was incorrect)

Dr. Johnson is OK but she doesn't explain things very well and sometimes you have guess at what she means. Also, her instructions for assignments on Canvas are very vague and like they are in code with abbreviations and you to figure out what to study. On line quizzes require Long readings and time limits are far to short.

Dr. Johnson is not a good teacher. She appears to be very sweet and innocent, and then is completely the harshest grader I have ever come across. Do not expect an A with Dr. Johnson. Poor teaching for harsh grades.

Naomi is awesome! Yes, there is a lot of work involved, but she's more than willing to work with you whenever you have a question. Her exams are VERY difficult, but if you just do the reading and really participate in class, you'll do better than you think. Also, she's always interested in your opinion, so don't be afraid to speak up

She can give lengthy assignments. She always gives you the option to explain a question that you think may have more than one answer and she always gives study guides. A lot of times we do group work which I don't find helpful as I end up talking instead of doing the assignments. I love Naomi and get excited to take her classes!

She's a nice person and all but she treats us like kindergardeners. All classwork is done in small groups which doesnt help because the everyone just sits and talks. Her tests are difficult but you dont learn ANYTHING in her class. She's not good at drilling concepts into students heads, she basically introduces something once and then moves on.

She is wonderful!!!! I took her for public speaking this semester. I was terrified to do this class. But once i got into the class it was so much fun. Somehow she sets up a very friendly and supportive atmospher. You have to do alot of work to prepare for the speeches..but theres not tests or other homework. focuses on the good, very understanding

Dr. Johnson is very interesting. I find her classes to be very fun, when it comes to tests, the questions are there more to confuse rather help you understand. Her teaching styles are very helpful,but to ace her tests you seriously have to think outside the box

I had her course as an elective but I spent more time doing**** for her class than my regular classes. She is a nice person, with a great personality but she is way too picky. Her final exam study guide was 11 pages long!

Her tests have so many trick questions on them; it's insane! She's not mean or anything, but she doesn't make anything clear and then doesn't explain when it comes around test time. But if you're a comm major, it's not like you can avoid taking her.
