Worst professor. Does not take the time to help out students after class, and will spend time talking on phone with friends. Talks excruciatingly loudly and collects homework on a random basis. Not recommendable at all. Take another Italian teacher! 5/2016

Paola is probably the craziest teacher I know. She will say one thing and then contradict herself the next day and it doesn't matter what you say because its her way or the highway. She can be very funny and enjoyable at times while other times she can make you want to drop. Overall she is one of a kind and each day is different from the last.

She picks and chooses favorites the first day you walk in the room. If you're on her bad side, no matter what you do, she will fail you in participation which is a significant portion of your grade. I'm in Florence right now, and I've never met an Italian as awful as her.

Loved this class. Knight Lorenzi is so funny (yes, she was knighted). Take advantage of the extra credit opportunities, especially the cinema italian style. If you go to class and do your homework on time, it's an easy A.

She made my Italian 151 experience. She's seriously one of the meanest professors. I came every day and did all her stupid questions and participation activities, and she gave me a zero in participation. There was a girl in my class that stopped coming after the first 2 weeks who got a one hundred in participation. Seriously, it's horrible.

Paolo is such a good teacher. she is hilarious and is always cracking jokes, which makes class fun, yet interesting at the same time. be sure to study the packets she hands out because more often than not, they're the same format as the test. attend class because she takes off 1 % point for every missed class. definately take this class!

Yeah she's crazy and European, but she is a good teacher. Italian is probably the easiest language to learn at Pepp and she is pretty funny too. She'll like you even more if you have Italian heritage or youre an Italian minor.

I did not learn how to SPEAK ital in this class, only the grammatical stuff. Not very good at EXPLAINING new concepts. Tests are pretty simple...if you've had Spanish, class should be pretty easy. She was always 10-15 min late for class too. Funny jokes.

Paola is awesome. You joke with her and you're in - but you have to make an honest attempt at the language. She doesn't demand perfection and likes to yell, but she's European. That explains A LOT. She also gets makeovers with Cher. Seriously. Italian is very mathematical as a language...

She is kind of intimidating but she is hilarious. Its a tough class but what do you expect. I like her..she's sassy and if you really need help she's very helpful. She tells you exactly what will be on the tests, she's not a tough grader, you just have to study.
