very easy going and funny. always telling jokes. no homework and no quizzes. simplifies everything for you and tests are on the exact same things you learn from lectures and sometimes copy pasted from the sample exams. if you have perfect attendance and put in some time after class you can definitely get an A.

best prof ever seen at kpu. funny, easy going, no homework, gives good feedback, no need of textbook, take his notes, practise his questions and you will pass easily. tests are easy as his lectures. some students call him weird but he has always been helpful. no surprises on tests or final. If you love chem, you can get A easily.

He is very disorganized. I don't really like the way he teaches at all. Its very confusing to follow. Tests are easy, but notes are way too confusing to even follow through.

He is a really very funny person. He makes you laugh harder in the lecture. As long as studies, he does a good job over it. You just listen to him carefully in the class and take notes. If you do your homework daily then you are good to go.

No idea what was even happening in this class. I was told to not get the text book by the teacher, yet he didn't do notes. It was terrible. I had no clue what I was supposed to study. And, despite my best efforts it was near impossible to succeed in his class. I would not recommend this professor. There was no course outline. Confusing and terrible

I hate this teacher, he thinks he can just come into class and make jokes and call that learning, NO I am not learning anything. I would learn more from a textbook. Most of the time he comes into class and throws an example and expects us to understand why it is displayed on the board. His notes are scattered and unorganized, much like his thinking

He's not very lenient with kids who have a lab field trip scheduled right before the class. Classmate had ecology field trips on the same day that usually goes overtime. He blamed him for being late when it was out of his control. Take Judy if you are taking bio. She's nicer about it.

DUDE PAUL IS THE BEST! hands down great guy!! It's true the class itself is not easy but all you hae to do is work hard and ask for help when needed. As for his teaching style I really enjoyed the way he doesn't spoon feed you information but lets you figure some stuff out! paul= #1 =D

He is quite a controversial professor actually...Some like him and some don't...and that's okay because the people who don't like him hate chemistry aswell...He dislikes the people or "brothers and sisters" who are always late...and one more thing, he hates cell phones in class...Don't ask him too many questions or you'll end up looking like a dum

Don't know what class some of you were in... Clarity is good, lays it down wi/o the frills. Do the pracrtice tests, they're good. Tests: application, and unclear on what was being asked. Pure memorization won't help you. And don't buy the txtbk, he nvr looked @ it. More of a lecturer than a teacher, he should be at one of the bigger unis

Paul is a very good professor. He is not easy, but he will help you if you make the effort. Be prepared for a lot of self learning at home to do well in this course. He is tough but I believe it will only prepare me for future, tougher courses(organic chem). Averages are quite low...but the course is quite tough if your chemistry is weak. GL

After reading the other comments I'm very surprised. He doesnt answer any of your questions, rarely shows up for class. Hates teaching in the EPT program, every class he said I'll never teach in this program again, and then every semester he shows up again. The only teacher I didnt like in EPT

Paul is like a big daddy.He treats u very nice for most of the time,and will really tease u in a friendly way.He seems to teach very slowly,but we always end up finishing 2 weeks before final.He is very helpful and patient if u are willing to study.
