Comment:

Sometimes a little strange but all around a great professor. Knowledgeable and capable of helping students about Spanish or beyond in other topics. I was not a good Spanish student and she genuinely believed I can learn which really helped give me the motivation I needed.

Comment:

This class was the easiest class I've ever taken at Ramapo. A few oral group skits, but we can read off of scripts. The quizzes are extremely easy and she lets you do corrections for full points back. Tutoring definitely helps as you have to teach yourself most of the material. I didn't feel like I really learned anything throughout the semester.

She is one of the nicest professor I have ever encountered at Ramapo. She makes Spanish look easy. Although the quizzes are hard but she allows you to use a cheat sheet and make up the wrong answers after. Really wants you to do well. Must take!

Professor Costa is a lot easier than other spanish professors. A lot of homework, but you can make them up throughout the semester without penalty. She wont let you fail either

Comment:

A very great professor that actually understands and cares for her students. She likes when students engage in discussion and if you do, you're set. Read all the texts/ do all the DQs and she will definitely like you. We had four papers total. So overall, not bad at all. Loved her class. A very sweet and caring woman that makes you want to learn.

The books you read for this class make no sense. She's also a Spanish professor so get ready to watch movies with english subtitles or read books that were translated from Spanish. I took her because she was at a later time so I could sleep in, if I knew that I wouldn't like it, I would have switched to the earlier class with a better professor.

Paula is a genuinely great person. She is so understanding of her students and extremely attentive to each of their individual needs. She leads a great discussion class in almost all of her classes. I have taken 3 classes with her and I have loved all of them. She wants to see all of her students succeed and get the most out of the class.

She is an amazing teacher. Very passionate and truly cares about you learning. If you have any questions she takes her time to answer them and will make extra little assignments to help you. Her quizzes are a little tough but they correspond directly with the lesson. Just study and ask questions and she will always help you!

Comment:

One of the nicest professors at Ramapo. Actually cares about the students she's teaching. Her lectures would often drag on, but that's because I had no interest in the class. If you are invested in what you're learning, you will enjoy the knowledge she brings. I still walked away with an A and that would not be the case with many other professors.

This class has a lot of homework, but is designed to help learn at home and is graded based on completion.. NOT what you actual get on the homework. Very sweet and caring professor. Such a sweetheart and is willing to help you out with any struggle in class. Not the easiest class, but definitely learned a lot. She is a must take. Not a tough class!

Literature class, read some really awesome book and the Professor is very friendly. In a room with some other nerds we discussed and joked, and overall I always looked forward to the class! No textbooks but you need to the novels obviously.

Art of Reading was an amazing experience. Sweet, helpful and fair, she is the best language professor. Very knowledgeable and will get you fluent by the end of the class.

I've had her for both The Art of Reading in Spanish & Advanced Communication & planning on taking her again next semester! She's truly so nice/caring towards her students. Not a tough grader at all. Just do the HW and participate here and there and it's an easy A! Love her!

Paula is the most genuine woman in the world. I have had her for three Spanish courses and will be taking her again for pedagogy this semester. She is so passionate about her work and her students. I learned so much from her. She makes class interesting and fun every time. I highly recommend taking her regardless of your major. She is amazing

Always helpful, very nice. I've had her for all three semesters I've been at Ramapo and have gotten an A in every class. She is always willing to talk to you and make exceptions for any of your problems.

I took her for Intermediate Spanish 1 and I loved her! She is so sweet, she made the class fun. Really helpful, is a fair grader and gives a lot of small quizzes and writing assignments, no huge tests or papers. I definitely recommend her if you have to take any level of Spanish!

Very clear and helpful teacher. She does give a lot of work, but it was a "writing intensive" course, admittedly. She's very friendly and loves to chat - that's the one bad thing is that class never gets out early! I recommend her.

Comment:

Took her for Intermediate Spanish, the Art of Reading, the Art of Conversation, and Writing & Research Techniques. BEST professor ever- especially for non-native speakers. She is the sweetest person & so helpful. She is truly dedicated to teaching & loves it. I recommend her to anyone!
