He's not very good at explaining during lectures but he is 250% willing to help anyone who needs it. Lots of take-home essays which help you for the midterm and final. Midterm and second midterm weren't too bad the final was fairly difficult. I wouldn't recommend him if you're completely clueless about Economics.

I enjoy Professor Cheline's class. The subject is very difficult to understand. I hope to get a passing grade. Cheline will meet with you if you need extra help. He does quiz you if you yawn but you are wide awake after he does! He had good report with the students in my class. We had good discussions.

Very hard teacher, doesnt lecture much. showed up to every class and read the book and still received an F. If you yawn he will quiz you. Class was pointless. spent more time taking quiz's than actually learning

he's actually a really fair teacher, you just have to pay attention. ya, the yawning thing is a little extreme though, but i think he means it as a joke. i liked his "take home quizzes" aka study guides. difficult class if youre not really into economics tho

Well, as a person, Chelin is a nice guy. As a teacher, not much. He spent the whole class time quizzing us, and he would also give us take-home quizzes. Don't get me wrong quizzes are helpful, but once the teacher has lectured. If this guy lectured three time in the whole semester that's a lot! The midterms and the final are cumulative.

He was a great teacher. If you listen to his lectures and read your book, and do your assignment; you will do fine in his class. If you want to learn Econ., Mr. Cheline is the one to learn from. He has lots of experiences and knowledge on this subject. By the way, my brother and I, we both took this class w/Mr. Cheline in Summer '09.

Don't even bother taking this teacher's course. He is is completely unable to teach economics. He's a jerk and unhelpful. If you even yawn he'll quiz you, which is ridiculous. Basically, he'll make your classroom experience unbearable.

He is a bit hard to follow, and can come across as arrogant, but he's entertaining if you just take it as a joke. I took Macro with him in summer, and it was EASY. But you have to attend, because he would test every day. Reading is easy and a must, but it's all you need to pass the straightforward quizzes. Recommended for summer.

I can tell that he know a lot about economics but he doesnt do a very good job of teaching it. He has absolutly no control of the class at all and there have been many classes where I could have learned something but he ended up wasting all the time chatting about something unrelated to economics.

quite possibly the worst teacher in the world!not even kidding,his tests are super hard,he gives tests everyday,but honestly,whats the point of tests if you cant even understand the professor!!! EXTREMELY hard to follow,he cant deliver what he is trying to teach at all,dont take him for macro unless you are willing to repeat it again summer school

this teacher was fairly eloquent with his lectures, tests were easy if you go over the study guide, may want to talk to him after each test to make sure where your grade stands. Got a B when i had an 89% - so be careful

This professor truely wants his students to pass. He gives hints and tips every now and then but it's ultimately up to you to learn the material. He enjoys making you learn random facts that aren't REALLY relevant to the material most of the time but you know what? Those random facts can be useful in life. (maybe)
