SHE. TALKS. SO. MUCH. Be prepared. I brought homework in for other classes. We often don't get to do our classwork just because she talks so much. She gives easy work, just A LOT of it. Stay on top of your journals and you'll be fine.

She's a nice teacher but gives alot of work. There is a discussion do every week for ten weeks and a quiz due every week. She also incorporates lots of peer reviewing in papers that require you to answer long questions. Easy only if you do the work. Also she talks ALOT to the point where she overexplains it. If you do the work it should be fine.

This class was kind of boring and there was a lot of work that wasn't valid to the class. She makes you keep a journal and answer long essay questions. It's an essay A if you just do the work and go to class though! She's really sweet and answers her email very quickly!

She is one of the nicest profs at Southern. She is clear on all assignments and all assignments were super easy. There is a journal (super easy and not everyday) that you must keep but if you keep up w/ your work, you will get an A. She is a super easy grader too! Loves getting to know her students and will do anything she can to help you.

Mrs Van Horn is the best engl 1102 teacher ever. I definately recommend her. She probably grades papers the best out of any professor I have ever had. If you turn in all of your work it is basically an automatic A!!

SOOOOO easy. But you actually learn a lot in her class. Attendance is mandatory which is unfortunate since there are days where you don't really do anything. She over-explains stuff constantly and often treats you like a child, but she's a really nice person and grades really easy. Overall I would definitely recommend this class.

She is really easy if you know what you are doing. She is kinda shy and stand offish. Not very confident but she really cares about her students. You only write 4 papers and they are interesting. She isn't a harsh grader, but very fair at the same time. I would definitely recommend her! I learned alot and my writing improved. Not too much HW.

Great Teacher. Very easy class. She rambles on alot, and takes a long time to explain something that should only take five minutes. But she loves what she teaches and she is a very nice person. I recommend her to everyone.
