Spanish 2804 consists of working with writing, but Prof. Acevedo truly cares about her students doing better and provides lots of feedback and resources to consider. She assigns a lot of homework and a few short readings, but they do all prepare you for the essays you will be working on. No tests, just two quizzes. Accessible outside of class.

Great Professor!!! Dr. Acevedo taught the subject thoroughly. You must do the homework and you must read the book and go over the power points in order to do very well. If you don't understand a topic, she will clarify during her office hours. I recommend this class 100%.

Professor Acevedo is extremely helpful in office hours, linguistics in general is a pretty tough subject. She posts midterm and final reviews, as well as her class PowerPoints. Attendance is really important as well as book use, everything on the tests can pretty much be found from that. Hard class but she's a fair grader!

She's very good about sticking to the syllabus and is very helpful when you ask, but overall linguistics is pretty difficult. It's straightforward but if you're not a native speaker (like me) it's really hard.

Really nice, extremely understanding and helpful, easy grader. Assigns hw everyday but it's really easy. Not strict about attendance, classwork etc but attendance and doing the work is necessary to pass the class...no tests, quizzes or final!!!

The class can be difficult only if you dont understand what you are to be writing about. Sra. Acevedo is super nice and willing to help. I like her alot and will take her again for future spanish classes. Highly recommended!
