Comment:

There is no attendance policy, which is great, except the policy applies to Cassie as well, which makes it hard to write notes or even study for the exam. Before the final he canceled class four times which made studying hard. There are only three tests so you have to make a good grade on them. He also gave extra credit which was nice!

Comment:

Take this class if possible. There were three tests, and that was it. For the final test he literally gave us the answers the day before. Class was CANCELLED literally half the time. There were extra credit opportunities, and he curves the tests a few points. Easy A with no effort required.

This professor is a large man with a good sense of humor and a sense of apathy but a huge understanding of his field. He doesn't give you too hard of tests and there are no projects He is an easy A or B with little to no trying on your part. Would suggest going to class if you don't have an understanding of politics.

Research Methods was an easy A. However, I didn't learn a lot. Since I need the stuff later on in Grad School it's a bit sad. Take if you want to boost your GPA.

Attendance is NOT required. No quizes! Give extra credit opportunites. Only 3 test, all multiple choice. CANCELED class all the time. Always Lets you out of class early. All power points will be posted to asulearn but he likes to just put the topics on the powerpoints and fill in details. Great sense of humor & great Professor! Definitey take him!

A really easy class if you know some basic history, but still worth going to just because Dr. Cassie is hilarious! His class was probably one of my favorites at App. There are 3 tests and a lot of extra credit. You have to try at failing.

He cancelled class very often, and to be honest, it was kinda annoying. I felt like he was very slack and took a long time to grade things when we only had scantron tests? If you are good in History and Political Science, this course is easy. But if not, I would take another teacher who is actually going to teach.

Cassie is the man. He adds some humor to his lectures and makes the class interesting. Gives 3-4 extra credit opportunities and tests are all multiple choice. Also he cancels class fairly often on random days but never unannounced either in class or by email. Take his class

This teacher made a class I thought was going to be boring, interesting. He has 3 50 question exams, that are pretty easy as long as you study the material. Attendance isn't required, but come to class because even though he posts the power points online, he goes over a lot of other information in class! several extra credit opportunities.

Best Professor EVER! Classes were insightful and filled with conversational group discussions. Very easy class! Only a few papers that are very comprehensive but easy to write as long as you come to class. And the best thing about Dr. Cassie is that he is probably the funniest professor at ASU! Take him if you get the chance. You definitely won't regret it!

Canceled (literally) about half of the classes. I swear he cancels for a rain drop. Classes that weren't canceled he let us out about 30 minutes early. I'm almost positive we never sat in there the full 75 minutes. Pretty easy A. A few multiple choice tests. Our were open note, but I'm not sure if he is going to continue that.

i might have went to class once every week and still got a b. he doesnt respond to emails and always cancels class without an email, just a note on the door. if you go to class and take notes,the class is a breeze. however, he does smartboard style notes and an open class room discussion. i would recommend for ps/cj majors but not for non. funny gu

I really liked Dr. Cassie's class. Attendence is not required and the tests are really easy if you take good notes. He offered plenty of extra credit opportunities. He is funny and I really enjoyed taking his class.

Awful Professor, not as funny as he thinks he is and extremely difficult to get in touch with. Canceled class all the time without an e-mail, never EVER responded once to e-mails, it's 2009, learn how to use the internet. His "lectures" are all over the place and was never clear on what information we needed to know for tests so I read the book.

Dr. Cassie is a really good professor. He is willing to work with you out side of class. There are only 3 test in his class no quizzes!! 95% of the test comes from the notes in class. So he's a really excellent professor!

I found Cassie really boring. I heard a lot of great things about him, but then in class I didn't see it. He uses the smart board and I'm not the type of learner that learns that way. I think I take pretty good notes, but when I went to study, I would only have like 6 pages of notes for a whole unit. I would take him again if I had to though.
