Comment:

Salafia is one of my favorite profs Ive had so far. His grading is a little confusing, but besides that hes amazing. He really cares about his students and his lectures are actually interesting. I will never forget him. One reason being that I passed out in one of his classes and woke up to him holding me. Love that man.

Comment:

Salafia was one of my favorite teachers to ever come across. I worked harder in his 3D class than I had in any other, but it was absolutely worth it. This isn't a class you can slack in, it is demanding, but you will learn so much. Utilize shop hours as much you can, and never be afraid to ask for help. I wish I could take more classes with him.

Comment:

One of the best professors I've ever had. Very knowledgeable, excellent at teaching, and tells great stories. You work very hard in his classes though. He doesn't take points off for late projects as long as you show up with what you have.

Comment:

Very interesting course to take. Professor Salafia taught me a lot. However, he grades on opinion (even admitted it in one of his lectures). Be prepared to have a lot of homework and a lot of work out of class. Overall a good course for what it is.

Comment:

Salafia is a decent choice. He is caring and funny, will offer extra help if you need it, and is relatively cool when it comes to missing class or not having all of the necessary supplies, but be warned: he is as cryptic as they come. He is not often very clear in lectures or otherwise. He is kind of a tough grader but you have the chance to resub.

Prof Salaf is amazing!! I wish I could take him again. In his digital media class he takes you up and inside the clock tower of old main. he makes jokes, is kind of strange but in a good way! He loves to show clips and videos and always gives you a million ideas for a video project. Don't slack on your projects he really can be picky. Love this guy

No no no..... This guy has seriously been my idol. He lives up to what every professor should be. Yes he will challenge you. Yes you will work for your grade. and Yes you will get your tuition's worth out of taking his class. Highly recommended for the true art students. You will gain so much from this class.

I dreaded this class every morning. I will admit he is a truly nice person but he drove me crazy all semester. We did way too many thumbnails for every project and he does not understand you have other classes. You NEED to have great time management for this class. He lets you turn projects in late which is nice.

Fantastic professor. His critiques of the previous projects feed right into the next project. The only reason students don't like his is because they aren't willing to put any time into this VERY time consuming class. Totally worth every minute to take 2D design with him. Also, get ready to thumbnail :O

Salafia is definitely a good prof. His projects are extremely time consuming but are ok if you have good time management. He's a quirky, fun guy and teaches students to think outside the box. I definitely recommend him for people aspiring to be in the art field.

He is a very cool, interesting guy. He also has a great sense of humor which always makes class more fun. However his projects are extremely tedious and time consuming. They also don't make any sense. Also be prepared to make a million thumbnails.

Salafia is awesome, we call him Papa. His assignments are really tough but always really interesting. He really pushes you to think in ways you normally wouldn't. His class is a total safe zone which is great because you won't be intimidated. If you're looking to learn a lot I totally recommend him!

I loved this class. This happened to be my favorite class all semester. I loved the projects, they were assigned they were very interesting. I practicaly lets do what you want, he wants you to explore your options. I think that he is a very good professor and I look forward to taking his class (3D) next semester.

Salafia is awesome! Sure the projects are a pain in the ass but most turn out pretty cool. He has a great sense of humor and people skills. He's very open to your creativity and urges you to think outside the box... I suggest taking his classes!

I really like this prof. He's very flexible with project matter and I find him to be very helpful. I really love how he talks to each individual student about their ideas and adds in what he thinks would work best. Great teacher.

I had Rick when he was subbing in sculpture. He was absolutely amazing. He let you grow as an artist, take chances and create what you wanted too, and then he gave you input on how to make it better. He was also thoroughly honest about what it was like to be an artist in the real world.
