He loves the course material. I thought the final was hard. Have to show up to class because participation part of your grade. Not very helpful, but I still earned an A. Reads off power points.

Mr. Cook is a nice guy. A little biased toward the Democratic party in my opinion. Lectures directly form power points, so a little dull at times. Very clear about his expectations however. Has a real passion for American Politics! I'd recommend him to all.

Great professor. A lot of reading, and participating every class is a chunk of your final grade. There's no quizzes, only two tests--the midterm and the final-- along with two papers. Both tests were easy and the 150 question final only took me 1 hour to complete. As long as you keep up with the reading and participate, you're guaranteed an A

Good Professor.You will have two tests. Midterm, 50 questions(5 chap. in 1 book, 5 in another) and take home essay. Final 150 ques(11 chap in 1, 10 in another. The second textbook is just debates between two people and u just need to know main idea. I studied for about 1 week per test and got an A in the class. lot of material but straightforward.

Not a difficult class. As long as you participate, you'll be fine. I never used either of the textbooks, though the Barbour one is worth buying because he does reference it. The other one is just the same thing you learn in class. Good time slot.

This prof can sometimes make you fall asleep, his lectures are very boring. The powerpoints he uses contain all the information you'll need for a test. I didn't even buy the books. Overall he does teach the material well and is a fair grader.

Nice guy and easy class. Tests are not hard, and he's an easy grader on papers. Class kind of boring for it's usually class discussions on topics. His notes are from the book and he e-mails them to you.

Laid back professor. Sends you all powerpoints and materials. The only reason to go to class is for participation points. Tests are fairly easy. I maybe went to half the classes and I am maintaining an A-. Boring but it could be worse.

Take the class - He's a great professor who warms up to you as the semester goes on. He is very lienent about a lot, and overall he loves to teach and you can see it. His tests are not bad at all, and the information in lecture might go fast, but if you study you'll be fine. You won't regret taking this course!

Cook is the worst teacher i have ever had. He is a very nice person, but that does not reflect his teaching ability. He just teaches out of the book, and comes up with DUMB projects or assignments that dont work. I would not waste you time with this class

COOK SUCKS!!! He doesnt teach crap!! He reads you a book....THATS HOW YOU LEARN!!! He is boring, and his voice is SOOOO ANNOYING!! This man needs to stick to his regular job and quit teaching. Nice man.....HORRIBLE TEACHER!! and he is a **** LIBERAL!
