The class is challenging, but very interesting. She may say umm a lot, but the material is easy to follow, and she clears any points of confusion. If you can keep a steady track on the notes you should do fine. She is also very kind and very lenient.

one of the worst teachers i have ever had, so boring says umm 300 times a class, and the tests are hard, you think you've studied but then when you get the test over half of it is stuff you've never seen before, luckily dr tanner is a bit more interseting

Evolution is an interesting topic, but she is very very boring. The lecture notes are fill in the blanks which is nice, but the tests are hard!

You may think you're studying well in this class, but surprise! it may be easy to "misinterpret" her lecture notes, as I was told after meeting with her. Difficult material as it is, but she makes it tricky. Study carefully!

Comment:

Had Coombs for Comp Vert Anatomy and for Evolution. Both of her classes were difficult. The Anatomy class involves lots and lots and lots of memorization. The lab practicles are very hard (average was around 60). Great class however really covers the material and topic thouroughly. and she is just such a nice person! very helpful.

Not a hard class if you actually go and memorize notes. Subject matter seems easy while learning but theres SO much to know so make sure you study way in advanced. Lab requires lots of memorization time too- Only take if you have a good amount of time to devote. But Coombs isn't that bad! Just so see her a lot and ask questions

A very nice person. Her lectures were clear, and to the point. For a subject based almost purely on memorization, she made the material slightly interesting. Studying for her exams is just sitting down for a day and memorizing her lecture notes. An A is very attainable if you don't slack off.

This class is one of the worst offered, do not take if you dont want to butcher your gpa. She tries to be helpful but the class sucks, VERY dry material and the presentation is worse! Cooms down to this "stay away from Biology 280"

The sweetest, kindest, well-meaning lady. Some people don't like her because she's not technologically advanced, but she is KIND, A GENIUS, and ALWAYS ready for extra help. She is indeed a little spacey - so ask questions!!

She talks "at" you not "to" you. She manages to take interesting subject matter and make it a huge drag. She also refuses to get with the time and utilize a course website. crappy professor

Nice lady, interesting material, but the subject is extremely broad also dull... I'm not really learning anything, and her quizzes and tests are extremely picky. She really shouldn't require THIS much work for a 200 level course!!! :(
