Definitely a hard class. The tests in total is 75% of your grade. Even though its open book the class average for test is in the low 60s. Looking for a easy general ed class? Dont take this one. Clickers are heavily used so you need to come to class in order to get participation points. I fully regret this class.

nice guy, feel bad having to give a bad review but this man is literally insane. He thrives on making the class nearly impossible. He literally brags about how he fails his students & the average of his tests are 60. Dont be fooled by the open notes, he sets you up for failure. should add I care deeply ab my grades &work really hard, didnt matter

He's a real oddball but that makes for an interesting class at times. He can be hard to follow, especially when getting into equations, but that's just the nature of the class. Tests are challenging (usually average in the 60s) but he curves. HW's are also challenging so expect to see TA/tutors for assistance. Put in the effort and you'll be ok.

Dr. Keesee is a great guy! The class I have with him is very difficult but its the nature of the material. He is always helpful and wants to see his students succeed. When I spoke to him about my research paper he even let me borrow a book from his office to help. Im taking him next semester and I am looking forward to it.

I have has Kesee for two classes both which where pretty hard. The exams are all open notes/books/laptops but most of the material comes from notes and homework's. Homework's can be hard as well and challenging. He is really passionate and knowledgeable about the subject though.

Gives great lectures but tests are very hard, even though they are open note. I would take this class pass/fail if I were you. Go to class for the participation points. it counts.

Not much course work, but need to understand it very well in order to do well on tests. He rarely gives any examples to help you understand how to complete certain equations. Decently curved class due to how challenging it is.

I don't remember much from the class itself except the class was challenging for 200-level. I took higher level atmos classes that were much easier. He will make you study pretty hard to get a high grade. I remember he's kind of an eccentric guy and sometimes even gets angry in class. But he was good one-on-one and laughed quite a bit.

Very nice and helpful professor. I've taken 3 classes with him and got an A in each class. Exams are hard, but theyre open book/computer/textbook. Dont even need to google much as long as you take good notes.

Good professor. Kinda corny at times, laughs at his own jokes too much, but you can tell he's passionate about the material. Tests are all open book/notes/computer/anything. You'll do fine on them as long as you pay attention in class and sit close to the front. He doesn't use a mic in the LC, so he can be hard to hear if you sit in the back.

I study environmental energy policy That being said, Ive had minor coursework on science in the past however not nearly enough for this class. It is ALL math based and I regret taking it as I expected more theory than equations I was expected to know. He also doesnt use a mic in the LC so its impossible to make out his mumbling with random chuckles

A little bit of a funny guy, especially if you get his jokes. Gives out some good homework exercises, going to the TAĆ¢€™s gets you good advice on the homework. Try to do some of the exercises before going for extra help. Tests are a bit out of hell. Getting an A in this class will take a bit of a miracle.

OMG! First of He is such a smart guy he forgets not everyone is brilliant. You will know about him growing up in LA this wife(mail order) than anything worthwhile. The HW is so difficult don't do what I did and put HOURS in you will get about the same grade if you do it the night before. Open book exams are still killer with nuances FOREST FIRES!

People complaining are hilariously stupid. Easiest class in the world. When you take the tests, just literally look up everything. You should get a 100% it's so easy.

Big lecture center and class is super BORING. Clicker and attendance mandatory. Tests are open but still pretty hard. class averages were always around a 58. Not an easy A at all. So don't go in thinking it is and you should be fine.

In order to succed in this class you have to be INTERESTED. Notes are a MUST. If you don't show up to class you will more than likely FAiL. If you speak to him after class or during office hours you'll notice he's approachable. No textbook needed, and the notes are ONLiNE! Organization is important. Open note test are helpful. His CURVES are GREAT!

He is horrible.Took the class spring 09, and did reasonably well in it. I SHOULD HAVE had an A. However,he is insane. AFTER the final, he went through all the tests and accused me of cheating because I had the same answers as someone (in a class of 400 people..very common.) He NEVER ACTUALLY CAUGHT ME CHEATING, and i wasnt..but he failed me for it.
