Comment:

Had him for Org Chem I & II and Polymer Chem. He loves to joke and tell crazy life stories. He makes learning very easy as he draws the mechanisms on the board and repeats what's important about 60 times. If you do his HW problems, turn in your lab reports, and pay attention in lecture you're guaranteed a B+. I make it a point to take his classes.

Comment:

If you want a professor who slashes your GPA with a smile on his face, "no extra credit :)", take his class. I hear he is better at Orgo I/II is better than Industrial Organic Chemistry. Not that I would ever take a class of his again.

Comment:

Great guy, great professor, great comedian! However, his class is tough! Pop quizzes every week and simple to difficult set up for his tests. He grades labs easy and usually gives A's if you have the right format and required things he's looking for. Always lends a hand for extra help outside the classroom! Would definetely recommend him!

Awesome teacher. Very intelligent and always willing to help. Organic is terrible but he makes it much easier to understand. His jokes and stories make class more interesting. Overall, great teacher and a good guy. I suggest taking him for both sections if possible.

u really have to teach urself bc he only asks if YOU have any questions, which is how he pretty much teaches the class. i disliked him during the sem but as i went off to orgo 2 i realized that i learned SO MUCH from him bc i had a good foundation. seriously just take him if ur a science major. u will need to to study and work hard but it pays off

not really to great at covering the material. lots of hw and quizes. expect to put alot of effort into labs (and not do that well). test were not to hard and hes a fair grader. would not take this prof again if i was paid though.

He is a decent teacher, you learn a lot if you just go to class and pay attention. Quizzes every week, sometimes twice a week. If you pay attn during lecture, the quizzes are easy. Tests aren't too bad, he grades fairly decent, but does not give easy A's. He is seriously intense about labs!

Ridiculous work load and lectures are pointless. Very condescending and expects you to learn all the material yourself and dedicate all of your time to his class. Quizzes almost every single day that do nothing but hurt your grade. Tests are extremely difficult and based solely on essay. Do yourself a favor and take someone else
