This class was the first online Chem 151 class that this school ever offered. I felt I was a guinea pig working out the kinks. Since this online class was full of errors it was frustrating. At least the professor was really good at answering e-mails. If you want to get the most out of chemistry take it in person. You will not regret it.

Though this was the second semester of this being offered, at the beginning he made it clear there may be some mistakes in tests and quizzes online, and sure enough there are, and may be some more left over, who knows. Just don't be afraid to let him know if you suspect something. Reading textbook is simply a MUST. Responds to emails promptly.

Overall, everything was fine. The class is fair. He gives could feedback and answers emails promptly. I don't think he will be winning any personality awards, but he is a nice guy. The PowerPoints were 200 + slides a week- that is way too many.

Chemistry is difficult for me but Mr. Gaskins was very helpful and he's a nice guy. He gives pre-lab quizzes so make sure you do the lab questions before you come to class.

Nice man and though Chemistry is very tough for some people (epecially me)he is very helpful when you approach him with an assignment or problem. I recommend to anyone whose weak in chemistry because he is really nice helpful and he even allows you to make up any bad exam.

I had gaskins twice and the poor man is too smart to talk on a student level, however he is very helpful if you dont understand him! Dont be hesitant to pull him aside and ask questions. Try not to get wrapped up when he talks himself in circles & simply understand the basic concepts and you'll do fine.

I've taken Mr. Gaskins twice, and I really like him! He's a great teacher, though sometimes I found him hard to follow. Reading the textbook is a MUST in his class!! I would definitely take Mr. Gaskins again!!

very intelligent man, but teaches as if the student already knows what he is talking about. i'd take any chem class from Burma Reed instead. she has the best reputation for teaching chem.
