Comment:

I was little afraid to take Spooner based on some of her previous reviews, but she honestly wasn't bad at all. Not only is she kind but her class wasn't as hard as I expected it to be. Her tests are definitely difficult, but, if you study enough, you should be fine. Just remember to take very detailed notes and record her during lecture!

Comment:

Professor Spooner is amazing! She teaches everything clearly and will help you if youre confused on any concept. Lab is easy, just labeling anatomy on models. Lecture is a bit harder so record her lectures and take notes! Take her if youre trying to get that A for any of the health science programs.

Anatomy & physiology was ight tbh. The anatomy part is way lighter than the lecture part. If you don't study for the lecture exams or anatomy exams u wont pass bruh and i put that on everything. lecture exams for spooner are all mutiple choice 80 questions and lab are all fill in the blanks 80 questions. On my mother she kool asl. also dont cheat!

Mrs. Spooner goes above and beyond to make sure you know what you need to know for an A! This class has hard material but I barely opened the book since her packets make everything cake. IF YOU FIND THIS CLASS HARD you are either used to skipping class or dont want to study! Go to her classes and study! You will get an A.

If you're going into A&P and expect to not actually work then you won't do well. Professor Spooner provides study guides (that are completed by her), online homework (w/ unlimited tries) and lectures packets to follow along in class. You have 5 Lecture exams that are hard but not impossible and 4 lab exams that are just memorization.

I am an A student and this class was way too hard her Lectures covered simple material but exams are nothing like the material covered in the lecture they are extremely hard and confusing you have to read the book or you won't pass and study about 12hours week or more. study guides have nothing to do wit the test just wast you're time beware!!!

Prof spooner is a great teacher in ecology and physiology. she really make us think and understand concepts, she's also so very nice and caring. I feel ready for higher bio courses after this class

I was really weary about this class due to the last two reviews but I decided to give it a try. I do not regret my decision at all. The exams do make you think conceptually, however it is everything we learn in lecture. She provides study guides which help a lot. Lab exams are super easy, all just memorizing and understanding concepts. Super caring

Lectures covered simple material but exams are nothing like the material covered in lecture. She claims to teach at the molecular level but she does NOT teach at this level nor does she teach the crucial material needed to perform well on each exam. Labs are straight forward, lab exams are conceptually/memorization/Anatomy&Physio heavy.

The exams seem to include more in detail in the material compared to what was covered in class. This class really makes you think because you will be wondering where the questions are coming from for the exams.

A/P is tough side by side but Spooner really gives you opportunities to pre-test in Lab and know where you stand and what to work on and provides study guides for all tests. Chances for extra credit were helpful. Very accessible. Anatomy was pretty straight forward but the physiolgy side pretty much killed my grade Short answer Qs on exams not easy

Amazing! She is very knowledgeable and easily accessible. You do need to pay for online code for homework AKA Book needed. The class is very challenging and you can not slack off! Make flashcards as soon as possible and study right after lecture. Hard material but it is do-able if you put your hard work into it. Recording lecture helps out alot

The best professor I have ever taken. Its not an easy subject but she makes it so interesting. I got an A but you have to understand the material pretty well which is doable the way that she does her lectures. I recorded her lectures which helped a lot. Taking good notes is the key. Write everything down!

Professor Spooner is a great professor. The class is a difficult one, you definitely cannot slack if you want to get an A or a B. You need to do the work for your grade. 4 anatomy exams and 4 physiology exams, 10 quizzes and some extra credit. Get ready for a lot of studying! She provides good information and grades fast!

Admirable professor with extreme knowledge in the subject. Both lecture and labs were very interesting and engaging. Homework/essay questions assigned helped immensely in learning the material and she was very quick to grade. She is respectful towards all students, was always smiling and very approachable with questions.

Comment:

Took Spooner's Biology 210 hybrid class, which is not really hybrid. Only difference is access to content on blackboard. Spooner's lectures and notes lacked organization and specifics. You have to be a very good note taker in her class because she shorthands most of her lectures and her powerpoints are mostly diagrams, which makes thing difficult.

Anatomy and physiology itself is hard, but professor Spooner makes that so easy. Gives you extra credit opportunities. she will help you all the time whenever you need her. i would take her all bio class if she is available.

I loved Mrs Spooner!! Okay so this subject is hard. YOU HAVE TO STUDY. With that being said, she gives you exactly what you need to pass. Great study guides, and lab Is just memorization. She makes things easy to understand. And offers a good amount of extra credit! Work hard and you'll pass. I got an A. Oh and don't skip class. Duh.

Professor Spooner is a great professor who invests so much in all of her students. She is always there to answer your questions and will help you do well. Study hard and you will do well. Her lectures are very clear and easy to understand. She also takes the time to explain everything in lab so that you can learn the structures faster.

Ms. Spooner has a genuine desire to help students succeed. Very clear explanations, offered tons of extra help, made subject matter interesting, encouraged study groups, extra credit. Compared complex matters to real life examples to find a common ground of understanding. This class requires effort but she makes it easy and fun to learn.
